The most important things you must consider before you marry anyone as a man (I am speaking from a man's angle) are:

1.) The person has to be physically appealing to you to start with, she mustn't be too beautiful or sexy or a killer beauty.


2.) She must be financially productive; meaning she must have a sellable handwork, craft, trade, business, job or career.

Don't ever marry an idle, jobless woman today if not you will regret, unless you are very financially buoyant enough to be the sole family breadwinner without complain.


3.) Before you marry any girl please do a family background check. Don't marry anyhow. Find out the family and community she comes from and know if they have any spiritual or traditional baggage that may affect the family you want to start and if you can carry the problems.


4.) You must be ready to help your wife in some domestic chores, it's not a taboo even if you are the breadwinner except you are ready to hire at least 2 domestic staffs to assist your wife. Even at my small level I still carry my kids, I dress them up, I personally do their shopping, I even clean them up when they poopoo and also change diapers. I use to assist in bathing my son during our first issue and I still bath him today whenever it's necessary or whenever he insists that it's me that he wants to bath him.


So be ready to assist your wife domestically and you will enjoy a happy home.


6.) If you must cheat as a man, please cheat with utmost wisdom and discretion. Keep it far away from your wife oh. Cheat responsibly and respectfully bearing in mind that you are someone's husband


Don't throw your cheating in the face of your wife just because you think you are rich or the breadwinner.



7.) Expect less from your wife when it comes to financial contributions even if she is working, this will keep your home healthy and happy. Just ignore what outsiders may say, assume she is broke and earns nothing and try to be in charge of your family's financial provision.


8.) Avoid your wife's phone, it's her privacy, if she decides to cheat, checking her phone cannot help you to stop her. Women are the boss in keeping secret and operating under the radar, so don't stress yourself on that, just treat her nicely, be a worthy husband and trust me, she won't see any need to cheat.


9.) Make your family peaceful by avoiding arguments with your wife. You are man my brother, you don't need to argue with your wife to establish that you are the man of the house. Overlook things and cast and bind the spirit of violence and verbal abuse or exchange. Talk less and your wife will respect you a lot.


10.) If child bearing delays, don't blame your wife and don't get tired of the marriage, just trust and look up to God and if you can afford it, go for IVF or even surrogacy or adoption depending on your financial capacity, they are all your legal kids once you do it legally.


11.) Plan your retirement. Remember kids will always show more pity towards their mother as you guys grow older, don't be jealous about that, that's why you must bear this in mind now that you are young and start early to plan your retirement without depending on your kids

The character of your wife changes with every passing decade(IE her 20s, 30s, 40 etc) At the beginning of these character shift there are usually issues in the marriage. Some marriages weather through those storms and some don't which lead to break up.

As a man you have to learn to evolve as your wife evolves with every decade of her life.
