yes it's possible to shoot a plane and it will make emergency landing in open area. That's likely what happened. There were no Blackhawk involved in this, it was 2 small helicopters called little birds which is used by special forces and some of them too were shot down likely but not destroyed. So USA bombed them so they are not reverse engineered. The Blackhawk that were shot down two days ago also managed to make emergency landing across the border according to reports
