Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare will conduct interviews on 10th April.
Got the invite. How safe is Jos now? 😔
From which state are you coming to Bauchi? If possible, avoid Jos, most especially if you're Muslim. The tribes along Riyom have the tendency to spontaneously block roads.

Bro calm down, as there nothing for now. The mgt just had a meeting today & concluded that only ad-hoc staff would be employed for now (within this week or nxt) because of the ballot paper printing for INEC. The budget for new recruitment is not yet on the table. Thanks

Stop spreading misinformation. The Hausa settlers (Muslims) within the tiny enclave in Jos North LGA are the culprit not the tribes in Riyom LGA. The latter are notorious for terrorism (especially religiously aggravated terrorism) and are sworn enemies of peace on the Plateau. Get that right and stop spreading lies.

I'll write to the school & the person that recommended me if it possible for zoom interview, if not, I'd rather wait & see if DSS will start invitations for training before theirs

You don't have to pass through Jos. You can do Abuja - Kaduna - Bauchi - Azare.
Best wishes.

I'll by faaaaaaar, I mean by a very very wide margin pray that the DSS works out for you over the University job. However, I'll still advise that you go for the university interview just in case. It's not a must that you go through Jos.

All the best my dear.

Anyone going to Azare should follow kano. Azare is like 30 minutes drive from kano and the distance from bauchi to azare is more than 150KM. Just follow Abuja-kaduna-kano route

I've been thinking of using Kaduna-Kano route. If I do plus & minus, I might go or let it be.. I trust in God for DSS to work out

Bravo!! Nice idea. Amen to the DSS runs. Consider it done, while you yet give the University job a try.

We never know what God has in stock for us. And at the end, it is what he (God) decides that works out. Best of luck!!

From Abuja - Azare following Jos & Abuja thru Kano is almost same time on the road. Safer route is the key. Kano route is better though

Having read offer letters on here and from the only person I know that got a job with a Federal Government Agency, why is it that most offer letters do not have salary details posted on them? What makes these jobs attractive when people don't have an idea how much they will earn? For a few who has salary details, why are people eager for such jobs knowing the pay is paltry in most cases? Since I came across the thread why trying to get information for my friend who has been offered a job in Nigeria which is what his parents want, these have been my observations.

Dexlomo It really comes down to condition and circumstance.

In Nigeria, many people are not choosing jobs based only on salary . they’re choosing based on survival and stability. A large number of people come from backgrounds where there is little or no support system, so the idea of a private job where you can be laid off at any time is a serious risk.

That’s why federal government jobs are attractive. Even if the salary is not always written clearly in the offer letter however people already have an idea of what to expect because most agencies follow known salary structures like CONHES, CONMESS, and others. Once you know the grade level, you can estimate the pay.

Beyond the salary itself, what matters more to many people is job security and a steady monthly income. For someone who has no one to fall back on, consistency is more important than a higher but uncertain salary.

There are also long-term benefits like pensions, promotions, allowances and sometimes access to networks and opportunities that may not be obvious at the beginning.

Another important point is that not everyone has the same options. People from more comfortable backgrounds can afford to take risks at private sector roles, business, or even opportunities abroad. But for many others, those options are limited, so they go for what is stable and accessible.

And the truth is, a large percentage of people in the country are simply trying to survive. That’s why you see so many people interested in these roles. It’s not just hype , it reflects the economic reality most people are facing in Nigeria.

So the attraction is not just about the salary; it’s about security, long-term stability, and making the best choice based on one’s situation. I can also assure you that people in those agencies that you may have heard that pay low are still looking for better options but then again there is life.
