Major General Majid Khademi, the head of the intelligence organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed in a joint U.S.-Israeli airstrike in Tehran on April 6, 2026.

Tehran Identified the attackers as the "American-Zionist enemy," referring to the United States and Israel. Israel has confirmed the killing of the IRGC intelligence chief in the Tehran strike.

Khademi was appointed in June 2025 following the death of his predecessor, Mohammad Kazemi, who was also killed in a previous Israeli strike.

"The Revolutionary Guard are shooting at
civilians while we are eliminating their leaders.
Iran's leaders live with a sense of being targeted. We will continue to hunt them down one by one,"
Israeli defence minister, Israel Katz, was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.

What you folks still don’t get is that yiu don't mention countries like Iran and Russia (without nukes) in same sentence as US! How you know US is pulling punches is the rescue of that airman. The weapon used against Venezuela (see below) is yet to be deployed in Iran. Just 20 soldiers and not a single casualty!
