Refining fuel is a costly process..and you got waste at the end of the whole matter, which cannot be used for anything. That's why market prices for fuel have been very high, and why attempts at subsidising it have always ended in debt and unpaid subsides.

I doubt that you have allowed your customers set your prices, and I am sure some of your customers think you are siphoning their money, when what you are doing is trying to make enough money to pay your costs, and make a living.

The reason why you are successful is because you don't listen to them.

It's very easy to think that dangote has a monopoly, but there are other cement companies in nigeria

It's just like many Nigerians think that Cocacola has the monopoly on soft drinks in NIgeria, when Pepsico Nigeria and a host of other indigenous companies exist

Imagine selling a bag of cement at over 12K when all the raw materials used in cement production are gotten in Nigeria, whereas the wicked man is selling the same bag of cement for lesser price in neighboring countries where he has no monopoly of market.

NIgeria also has poor electricity, poor roads, a bad railway system that does not cover the whole country, and poor security. That adds to the price of cement.
(Which is why I shout that government should fix railways, even if it means taking loans to expand the rail system).
And then they are operating in a tinubu economy which means salaries got to keep up somehow. Also, taxes.

Whereas, if they sold cement at prices that favor you, they would run at a loss, which would force the business to close, which would lead to loss of millions of direct and indirect jobs which would affect the common man in NIgeria badly.
