Hello Guys. Please, I would like to ask, has anyone who applied for accounting, Human resources supply chain or others seen an email from NLNG? I would appreciate your response, thanks. |

Hey guys, I’ve been staring at the email to be sure it’s for me, cause I really can’t believe it (seeing that I was skeptical about my performance) and since I got it I’ve been praying that they don’t send another email asking me to ignore the success mail.😂 Anyway, I want to talk about how the test (2nd level assessment) went for me. I started with the JFA as usual and I based my answers on the core values of NLNG which forms an acronym known as SITREC - Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, Excellence, and Caring. I ensured that all the options I chose were part of the core values, however, I also ensured that safety was always my priority even though other options may demonstrate other core values, don’t know if that did any good but that’s just what I did. For the numerical, I remember I confidently solved just three (all pie charts) accurately, and then I started having issues with a question about ranking which person made the highest sales ratio (I obviously bleeped it after wasting so much time thinking of what to do), the next question was about plotting a graph for the highest percentage increase across a couple of years, I did mental maths to plot the graph (which I wasn’t so sure of the accuracy), after that I got another pie chart question, but I had less than 2 minutes remaining and it was the 6th question, so I quickly solved that (not sure I did it accurately though) and then within the remaining seconds I just scrambled through question 7, by the time question 8 was displaying, my time was up, so I literally didn’t answer questions 8,9&10, with questions 4,5,6&7 being uncertain, and whenever I remembered that marks would be deducted for unanswered questions I just lose hope entirely. I’d say I answered only 3 correctly, cause the other two (questions 5&6) I did with my head were based on vibes and Insha Allah. For the inductive reasoning, that’s literally my forte (although I used to be better with numerical) but I was putting my hope on the inductive reasoning section. Luckily for me out of the 15 questions I was confident about 14 being correct, the other one I skipped it cause I didn’t want to waste time since I was just starting the section and wouldn’t want a repeat of the numerical experience. So yeah, that’s literally how I did, if you ask me, I’d say it’s Allah that brought me this far cause I see lots of intelligent folks here who deserved this, nevertheless, I believe what will be will be, for everyone. |

For me, if asked earlier, I would have said I did well enough but then I didn’t get the next mail so all that doesn’t matter anymore. During my assessment, I had more of pie chart questions of which I answered about 4-5 correctly and started randomly choosing answers. I wasn’t able to finish though and I totally missed the part of answering all questions. For the JFA, I had investigated or researched about it and ensured to be consistent in my answers selection. For the other part, I was very confident about it and immediately I got a hang of it, it was easier to get my answers without wasting much time on it. Unfortunately I was on the 12th question with about 2 minutes left (can’t remember the exact minutes) when I was logged off. I didn’t panick much cos I know I didn’t break any rules and I had just three questions left to answer. Now I think of it, maybe I should have sent a mail to them about it. That being said, it’s really painful cos I was so hopeful (please don’t start with the there’s better ahead and the other motivational talks). All in all, I promised God I wouldn’t react the way I did when I lost NNPC so in everything I give him thanks. Congratulations to the successful ones, May God see you through. |

I was really confident I would get through the next stage, but alas. For the numerical, the first 5 questions were bar charts. I solved the first 4 really well but had to basically guess the 5th question because I figured it'd take too long. The next 5 questions were two ranking questions and 3 pie charts, yes I solved confidently until the last question which I couldn't finish when time ran out. As for the process monitoring, I would say I did pretty okay, albeit with some hiccups along the way. Now for the JFA, I also tried to model my responses to NLNG's core values, in order of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence. I guess I will forever wonder what the reason was for not progressing to the next stage. Did I really fumble the JFA? Was my process monitoring that bad? Was it possibly the lighting source behind my screen that disqualified me? Because I realised after the test that there was a lighting source that could have impeded my visibility on the camera. Congratulations to the successful ones. Bring it home. |

Indeed from last thread (2022/2023) no success mails were sent after the first mail. I went through that thread last week. Saw how people's hope got slowly crushed as they expected a second wave before regret mails which also annoyingly came till like 24th of the month. Like someone said above don't give us any motivational talk. I have removed hope of getting any success mail. But what really pissed me off is the fact I was initially not even shortlisted to take assesment I have never heard of the company till last year I didn't even know their benefits. It's as I got re shortlisted again after the first batch test. I wrote the first one and passed and second assessment. I would like to believe I did good. 5 numerical reasoning questions am sure where correct and two more done in a rush. The process simulation I am normally a gamer too so doing multiple things at once was not much of a challenge, I only later lost track of the temperature 3rd count.. JFA is just went with the best option which mainly focused on teamwork. So in essence they should have just left me there when I was not shortlisted and forgot about it as I knew nothing about the company then. Than to not progress when I got a second chance and they were saying all that talk in their mail about wanting to give more people opportunity.. I already said it in the page the mail started dropping that since I didn't see it initially I have accepted my faith so moving on. For those still hoping things can change this year too. I think one thing that made it a bit easy for me was when I saw the notice to check the mail by 4pm yesterday the new mail I saw was test assessment mail from KPMG. 🤭 The timing was funny like universe saying don't stress too much try this one |

IIAbdul:What is the link to the portal? |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Dharneehell(m): 8:43am On Apr 08 |
Conversations20:There's no middle name in the application nor summary though. It's just first and last name. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Mark05: 8:45am On Apr 08 |
Fadeshewa301:That portal is annoying I can't find where to login |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Conversations20: 9:03am On Apr 08 |
Dharneehell:There’s middle name on the profile details. The first page. I filled the space for middle name on the first page just that it doesn’t appear on the summary page |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Stargurl20(f): 9:04am On Apr 08 |
Mark05:Your last paragraph about the mail was similar to my experience yesterday |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Dharneehell(m): 9:08am On Apr 08 |
Conversations20:Exactly, which means it's not necessary. I'd say go with just first and last. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by JobsLever: 9:09am On Apr 08 |
Conversations20:It simply means it's not compulsory. Congratulations but now is not the period to relax my advice though. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Conversations20: 9:10am On Apr 08 |
Dharneehell:Full name will usually comprise of your first, middle and last name IMO. So if you filled it on the first page, no harm in including it. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Dharneehell(m): 9:12am On Apr 08 |
Conversations20:Noted, but you'd agree with me that middle name wasn't in asterisk. Anyway, I get ya. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by JobsLever: 9:13am On Apr 08 |
Dharneehell:It's not compulsory since it wasn't asterisked. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Conversations20: 9:15am On Apr 08 |
Dharneehell:Does that mean first name isn’t compulsory because it wasn’t asterisked. Only last name was asterisked. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Fadeshewa301: 9:17am On Apr 08 |
Dharneehell:Middle name wasn’t in asterisk because not everyone has a middle name so they didn’t make it compulsory. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Dharneehell(m): 9:19am On Apr 08 |
Conversations20:Yeah I get you, but middle name was fully optional. Also full name, as appears on NLNG application is just first and last name. They only refer to you with your first and last name. But go with what you feel. 👌 👌 |
