that is what you guys don't understand about this airtel ODU, your experience mustn't be the same with other people and you shouldn't generalize based on your own experience only.

To me, the airtel odu is the best data plan in Nigeria. Better than MTN FiberX and StarLink based on my on experience. You can carry it with your data plan along to anywhere in Nigeria so long airtel has a good coverage there. Nothing beats that.

I get stable 50+mbps all round the clock, all day all month. My downtime is mostly in few minutes and it's back blazing again.

Just make sure airtel has a good network coverage in your location that's all, don't come here generalizing about how bad the ODU is if you stay in a place with bad airtel network coverage.

Kindly allow people to vent their frustrations over poor network. Stop blaming the people for staying in their area. Rather, allow them the freedom to express how poor the network is in the area so that Airtel will improve on it. Let's be one another's keeper in order to move this country forward.

My second day in Osogbo using the Airtel ODU. I switched to 5G, but the network was weak. I got about 40 Mbps at first, but after a few minutes it dropped, so I had to switch back to 4G, which is stable and fast. Six devices were connected—four of them were streaming a Manchester City match—and there was 100% no buffering. I also got the highest upload speed I’ve ever recorded. If you’re in Osogbo, I don’t think using the Airtel ODU will be a problem

How did you switch to 4G only?

Your experience with Airtel can differ based on different factors and from experience it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how good or bad network is in your area. Go online, almost everywhere there is complaint. It is a very common thing so repeating it isn't generalizing but rather a statement of fact.

I once sold my Starlink because I thought Airtel was a far better deal for my work, however there was a time I was so frustrated I had to buy a second Starlink due to network issues. In fact, when I checked my dm with Airtel reps on Twitter, I noticed that for more than 1yr+ I have been in contact with them complaining of the same issues almost every 2 wks. That's just insane.

That being said, my experience with the ODU so far has been relatively fair, if you can be patient for the 1 or 2 days of downtime then you won't mind, however if your job is such that you can't deal with such then it's not for you, because surely, they will hit u when less expected.

Although the 25k ODU plan is a great deal, it doesn't take away the fact that Airtel is an unreliable network. If you have the option for Mtn FiberX, go for it, that one has less downtimes and a relatively more stable speed throughout the day.

Guys. Abeg can the airtel ODU sim work on a mifi directly. It's a universal mifi. or I'd have to do that imei changing thingy?

Might not be around to use this sub for the next three weeks..

There is only one way to find out, which is by testing it since you have it.

Meanwhile, from all indications, that mifi won't work. At least not out of the box. Being a universal router is not enough to make it work with broadband bundle like the Airtel ODU.

You should get X30 from Wahab, buy M30 or M30 pro and find someone to tweak them for you.

I have already tweaked M30 but if you add waybill to the 15k you'd pay me for it, it might be better for you to source from your location.

Is there any way to set this G5F ODU to prioritize band selection based on network strength?

I noticed yesterday that it will continue to prioritize Band 7 even when it's down. I thought Nairaland was down for hours till I manually switched to Band 3 this morning.

Airtel is completely insane. I inserted my 4g SmartBox SIM into my ODU and it is blazing now. But the same ODU won't work with the physical SIM.
The ODU sim is also working with the 4g smart router. Isn't this madness.

Transfer to your main line using Me2u. Dial *432# and follow the prompt. Default password is 1234 and you have a 20k daily limit,so you'll transfer the 25k in 2days. Cheers

It should log u in,purchase from there
