3000 Naira Per Litre? Happening Sooner Than You Expect. by Dogalmighty17(op): 1:47pm On Apr 07
It is not news that the war in the middle east has set off an increase in the price of fuel all over the world. While the war may have contributed to it, speculation by oil traders is the primary reason for the present increase. The war in the middle east hasn't actually begun affecting crude prices yet and this is why.
A crude oil tanker sails at the same speed with a bicycle. It moves at 28 kph. They spend months on the sea. This means the ships that left the middle east for the West to supply crude before the war, are still on the way. Some have been arriving their destinations over the past few weeks. This is why the price of crude is still relatively stable for now. That will change soon.

From April 10th, that's when major economies around the world will start running out of imported crude. No ship carrying has left the strait of Hormuz in weeks. This afternoon, the US began striking Kharg island. There will be a widespread destruction of oil facilities in the middle east by Iran as it responds to the US attack on Kharg island. No crude oil will be leaving the middle east soon. This shock is not what the world can handle. Economies will begin to shut down. No oil means no production and the few oil that will be available in the international market will be so expensive effectively pricing it out of reach for most of us.

This is how you get a litre for 3000 naira.

Stop being alarmist,we have our own buffer if we have to go that route.....we also sell crude and that will be more i cone for the country and if things should start heading south our dangote refinery is an advantage and we can allocate more crude for local consumption.

You guys are as bad as the desperado duo of Atiku and Obi. PMS per litre price has dropped around 900 Naira from around 1350 Naira to 1260 Naira (Lekki) currently.

Of course it will drop further now that UK Prime Minister has convened an alliance of nation, excluding the myopically war-mongering USA, to tackle the Strait of Hormuz impasse.

I sometimes wonder if most of you are yahoo boys in a room with a laptop, several days of the week without going out, meaning you have no knowledge of reality before you go online to try and engage in doom-and-gloom scaremongering on behalf of your Presidential candidate.

You are lazy or probably too daft to follow events as they are happening. Crude just hit 150 dpb and with the ongoing attacks on Kharg island, it will still rise higher. Get out of here with your half-baked lies. Government apologist.

Joker. Events are ongoing meaning status quo can change in minutes.

Even if critical events skew course of events, over a global issue affecting many nations of the world and not Nigeria alone, how can a sane, objective, well-meaning and reasonable person blame that on Tinubu?

What is happening now is a demonstration of the reality of how everyone suffers when madmen like Trump, Hitler etal are allowed, unchecked, to wield and abuse ultimate power.

Nigeria is not the only nation thrown into difficulty over a situation they played no part in creating.

Go and sit your hateful and frustrated azz down because attempting to gaslight Tinubu over global development, that even developed nations have been adversely affected by, is not the way to get your Agulu charlatan into Aso Rock.

Don't mind the OP posting ignorant doom-and-gloom garbage because of political favouritism towards Obi and prejudice against PBAT.

He should even have predicted oil climbing to 6000 Naira per litre and not the 3000 Naira he mentioned.

As if Nigeria even features in a global situation the deranged Trump caused that smart people already knew he would cave in and do a deal to alleviate given the extreme universal anger against "warmongering" USA and her "Orange man" President.

The tool Trump has now done a climb down and about to walk away from Iran in disgrace haven achieved nothing, zero, nada.

Grow up. Is there really a thing called APC or PDP and Labour as, for example, the Labour, Conservative, Green Party etal exist in the UK?

Nigerian Party politics is driven by self-interest of political characters and individuals and not institutional integrity of political Parties that is lacking in our nation.

Proof is how Atiku and Hoebi ( I know you support one of the two) have moved Parties countless times showing that Nigerian politics has not evolved beyond personal ambition to be about institutional integrity and ideological steadfastness.

Nothing sadder than people like you who talk in an idealist manner and in total disregard of the reality on ground.

Atiku was a member of the same APC he wishes to present to the world as evil today. Obi too will join APC in seconds if he feels that will get him to Aso Rock.

The sad thing , very tragic for us as a nation, is how leaders seem to be able to deal with the reality of where we are, moving from one Party to the other chasing their own interest, whereas you followers continue talking as if our democracy is on par with that of the developed nations of the world.
