Peter Mbah Urges Youths To Apply As Army Opens 91 Regular Recruits Intake

The Enugu State Government has called on eligible youths across the state to take advantage of the ongoing recruitment exercise into the Nigerian Army, announcing that applications for the 91 Regular Recruits Intake are currently open.

In a public service announcement issued on Thursday, the government said the application process, which is free of charge, commenced on March 30 and will run until May 17, 2026.

According to the statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr. Malachy Agbo, interested applicants are required to submit their applications online via the official recruitment portal of the Nigerian Army, recruitment.army.mil.ng⁠


The statement explained that all applications would undergo an online screening process, after which successful candidates would be shortlisted for a physical screening exercise scheduled to hold at the Headquarters of the 82 Division, Abakpa Barracks, Enugu.

While encouraging qualified youths in the state to participate, the government stressed the importance of meeting the application deadline and ensuring that all submissions are completed through the designated portal.

It added that the recruitment exercise presents a valuable opportunity for young people to serve the nation while building a career in the Armed Forces.

A brigadier general in the army was recently killedd by Boko Haram Islamists, no fuse, no actions to revenge his death, like nothing happened. An American pilot who ejected from military jet was rescued in the heart of Iran, that's patriotism, and value for life, all will be willing to serve in such army

Guess nobody wants to die for this country. The country favors the elites and their sycophants. The common man is inconsequential to them. Nobody wants to die for a country that doesn't serve the common man's interests, it's only logical.


No jokes but the growing apathy to serve in the military is something that should call for concern.
We have to hold our leaders accountable for their actions. Stop all this "on your mandate" trash and begin to think beyond tribe and religious affiliation.

All these politicians urging people to apply into Nigerian Army left and right, one would think the army even recruits enough annually. Most of the time they don't recruit more than 50-100 people per state, so what's all the fuss about?

There are always more people applying than they can recruit, not to talk of the meagre salary and lack of welfare in the army. Besides, youths are tired of terrorists getting pardoned while military 🪖 men are killed by the same Boko Haram and other terrorists and bandits.

Most igbos prefer learning business and trade. Outside of that the military is nothing that interest them due to Nigeria unworkable sorry situation.

How can Nigeria have a workable and well functioning military when they are not one?

Look at ISREAL and iran for example. They are very strong and robust because of unity.

People who apply at that level don't go far in their military career. It's just like expecting a gateman in the ministry to become the minister by following the due process...it will never happen!

From the actions of nigerian politicians you will know that they are not patriotic people.
