Chairman of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Tajudeen Olusi, has recalled how former Senate President Chuba Okadigbo predicted that Bola Tinubu would one day become Nigeria’s president.

[b]Olusi made the remark on Wednesday while speaking in Yoruba at the commissioning of the Opebi-Ojota Link Bridge and e-GIS complex in Lagos.

According to the elder statesman, the prediction dates back to 1992 during the Third Republic when Tinubu, then a senator representing Lagos West, stepped down in the contest for Senate President in favour of Okadigbo.

We are happy that God is with the President, and I want to say that God appointed him (to lead Nigeria), I repeat, God appointed him.” Olusi said.

He added, “Let me remind us, some might have forgotten. The president started his political journey from this very place, Ikeja. That time, some of us wanted him to start from Lagos Island but God wanted him to start from Ikeja”

Olusi recounted that Tinubu later represented Lagos in the Senate and demonstrated humility during the leadership contest.

“When it was time for President of the Senate to emerge, he showed the Omoluabi in him, he behaved well, he stepped down for Okadigbo,” he said.

He noted that it was at that moment Okadigbo made the now-famous remark about Tinubu’s future.

“God spoke through Okadigbo that day and he said this Bola you see, he would become Nigeria President one day. It is on record, so, you should all accept that his presidency is God’s work,” Olusi added.

Hmmm But not the same Bola. This is not the Tinubu that we know.

And those people are wondering how tinubu was able to consolidate power in and out if it......over 3 decades of building,atiku too deserves some accolades but his political choices are his undoing.....tinubu stayed true to the course,never compromised his ideology of progressive politics.....from a single state to 6 then to national then to presidency......atiku and tinubu are more alike but obi is totally different from them,he doesn't cut it just yet even buhari had to try 4 times.

Nigerian politicians should stop dragging God into their madness. God didn't make Tinubu president. Tinubu maneuvered his way into power. He knows how to play politics but knows nothing about governance

This is the Tinubu that I know since 1999 and that I've always prayed to be Nigerian president. It's a difficult time all over the world, we need a president that can make decisions like they know what they are doing. We need a president that doesn't take orders, a president like trump. Tinubu is the only person Trump has threatened and didn't fret or play into his (Trumps) hands. They eventually became allies with Trump singing Tinubu's wife praise to high heaven.

If Atiku hadn't been there before, I will have loved for him to be Nigerian president. But his and OBJ privatisation policy ruin everything Nigerian own. They brought in contract jobs. Contract job is why Dangote pays expatriates in dollars and Nigerians in minimum wages and this is not limited to Dangote. And there is something you guys are not looking at Atiku couldn't solve PDP crisis. Atiku couldn't handle Wike that's working for Tinubu and Tinubu has won many people working for Atiku, Obi couldn't handle LP issue so he moved out for people that have never contested any election. Now both of them joined by Kwakwanso can't fix ADC. Imagine someone like the Gombe guy giving Tinubu problem.

If you like to claim Tinubu is causing problem for the other parties. How is he able to do this and they are not able to cause problems in his own party or buy his loyalist over. Atiku is not in control of Adamawa his home state, Obi is not in control of Anambra. How do you think they'll control the whole Nigeria with over 300 tribes?

Doesn't seem like the GAC people are complaining o. This is the GAC chairman talking about the beginning of Tinubu's career in 1992, how they've stick through thin and thick. Can anybody say the same about Obi?

Peter Obi has never been in government until he became Anambra governor. He has explained his role in Abacha government; you only chose to keep living in a cloud cuckoo land.
