Damn , this is the highest level of hypocrisy by the united state of America. The Govt of America just issued a red alert to their citizens in Nigeria to the extent of asking some embassy staff to evacuate. Yet at the heels of that, an American company is investing $24b( $8b + $16b) in the same country. Laugh wan tear my belle. Anyways, earlier it was Shell with $20b FID and now it's ExxonMobil with a $24b FID. Nigeria is progressing, attracting massive foreign Investments while wailers and Bitter people keep wailing. The foreign investors see through their wailings, lies and propaganda. They know their wailing is powered by the pains of election loss. |

We need to nationalize our resources but we would be called terrorists. Nigeria is a cash cow for these multinationals |

You wanted foreign Investments, you screamed and shouted for it, now here you have it!. Made possible by the political will of Mr President breaking the bottlenecks, policy consistency and his renewed hope agenda responsible for boosting Investor's confidence. God bless Nigeria, God bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. -Kiss the truth! |

HacheNoire:Why shouldn't they make cash for their investments? Nigeria possess 1. No technology 2. No resources 3. No steel 4. No Capital 5. No know how of deep water |

Putindbutt:FID means: the point at which investors officially approve funding for a major project after feasibility studies, regulatory approvals, and financial modeling are completed. And that is next year. Not this year |

COMPAQ:Venezuela did not have the tech and it was nationalized prior to kidnapping their president. Nationalizing does not mean you cannot buy engineering services. I |

Invest all the billions they like, if government doesn't fight systemic corruption in government, it will have little or no effect on the economy or masses. Congrats |

HacheNoire:And what did Venezuela do with it? They've ruined their oil and gas industry. A country with the largest oil reserves in the world, even like it on Saudi Arabia is producing less than 1 million barrels, while Saudi is producing 13 million barrels. |

HacheNoire:This same reason (nationalize our resources) by Iran's prime minister, Mohammad Mossadegh, was the reason the US over threw him. Nigeria need a radical person without fear, on that seat of power. |

Putindbutt:You may have missed the recent news when the Chairman/CEO of ExxonMobil refused President Trump's request to invest in Venezuela right there in a White House cabinet meeting. He was so eloquent that the next day DJT said the executive was just too cute with his verbal response.😅 |

Wake me when they commission the projects Bosi and Owowo field developments have been recycled for over 15yrs …// yet no action. Once they get close to FID, the concept is changed…. No be today https://spilpunt..com/2007/12/oil-and-natural-gas-in-nigeria.html?m=1 In 2007, the publication read “ In June 2008, ExxonMobil plans to bring online its Bosi field (110,000 bbl/d) located offshore of the western delta.” |

They should also look into the workers welfare. Seriously we no get Joy in regards to what we receive as daily pay. I hope it can be reviewed accordingly and let what is supposed to be given to the personnel be given not to cut or slice it from the top and send down peanuts... Put smile on the faces of your workers and see how progressive the establishment would be... Both the direct and sub direct contractors... Long live ERHA and USAN FPSO. BOSI and OWOWO good move. |
