I just found out the latest camon 50 pro and camon 50 ultra doesn't support wireless and reverse wireless charging. These phones are above 400k The former still uses the same G200 THAT MY SPARK 40 PRO+ uses and my spark 40 pro plus has the listed features and cheaper, To tell you they were aware, the spark 40 pro plus wont be getting hios 16 So just know that if you intend on buying these phones the only thing you are getting is fancier UI

Wryyy:What did you expect bro….itel, Techno and Infinix are all subpar OEMs producing subpar devices, you can never really expect them to do anything above average, the marketing and packaging is what they excel at cos Nigerians don’t really read the fine prints. They’ll give them 8gb ram….but it’s ddr2 They’ll say 256gb rom….but it’s Ufs 2.0 They’ll give them 6000mah battery….but it’s Li-po! |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Oyetboy(m): 3:10pm On Apr 05 |
Imagine using or getting worried about tecno in big 26 |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Rareoil(m): 4:14pm On Apr 05 |
To be fair wireless charging is overrated. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by lexxybb: 6:52am On Apr 06 |
What do you need wireless charging for, how much is a good wireless charger. Some of these extra features are overrated. My wife once had a phone that supported wireless charging, she never used the feature for one day. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Lizface(f): 5:21pm On Apr 06 |
A lot of this sounds like spec-sheet comparison without context. Not every phone is built around the same priorities. Tecno clearly focused on camera hardware (like telephoto), durability (IP ratings) and AI features. Wireless charging is nice but it’s not a deciding factor for most in real common use. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Lizface(f): 5:31pm On Apr 06 |
How exactly do these things make them subpar? Phones are built on trade-offs and not every model is chasing the same priorities. Li-Po battery isn’t a downgrade, it's literally industry standard and almost every smartphone uses it, including flagships. Same with your UFS and RAM point, you’re listing components without even addressing implementation or tuning. |

Lizface:I wanted to reply you but as it seems like you are some sort of marketer so it wouldn't be of any use

lexxybb:Pls Sir stop defending Bs A phone worth more than 400k With features of a midrange of 2019 make we dey talk truth abeg The spark 40 pro plus that i use cost less and has the listed features And there are lots of people who actually use reverse wireless charging for those who want charge earbuds or other smart devices but don't like the hassle of carrying chargers everywhere |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 9:55pm On Apr 10 |
Rareoil:I strongly disagree |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 9:59pm On Apr 10 |
L0wk3y:Omo i disagree oh ,they aren't subpar I'm enjoying my spark 40 pro plus quite well But I'm just digusted But I'll agree on the marketing part , one thing i noticed in all their advertisements is that they intentionally avoided mentioning chipset ... |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by DarkJeddi(m): 12:06am On Apr 11 |
Wireless charging on a 400k+ phone? That's about $300. You actually expect a low midrange device of that price to come with reverse and wireless charging? Ogbeni, make Una dey fear God. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by L0wk3y(m): 1:10pm On Apr 11 |
Wryyy:Which other phones have you used prior to this one?? |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by L0wk3y(m): 1:34pm On Apr 11 |
lexxybb:Wireless charging is NOT overrated...Planes, cars and a whole ecosystem of devices all come with wireless charging pads as standard now for the last couple years, especially with the advent of MagSafe and whatnot. Now sef some phones wireless charging are faster than your phone wired charging, the phone go full in 50mins meanwhile your phone go always take 2hours plus like oraimo low budget powerbank. It's just one of those things that if you don't use it by yourself regularly it's hard to see the benefits....kinda like high refresh rate screens(120hz), LTPO, QHD or NVMe vs UFS. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by L0wk3y(m): 1:35pm On Apr 11 |
Wryyy:Thanks for the heads up mahn....I almost fell for the rage bait. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 5:54pm On Apr 11 |
L0wk3y:I used a spark 9 pro , I can't defend that phone, It served me well but it had lots of flaws The screen was lcd the "fast charging" then was just on paper And i wasn't confident enough then to try gaming on it ... as i was coming from a Samsung note 8 that got spoilt.... Lol |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Nobody: 5:56pm On Apr 11 |
Wryyy:what about tecno spark 4 |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 5:58pm On Apr 11 |
DarkJeddi:Then explain why my phone of 275k has it ![]() ![]() ![]() The same TECNO MADE THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop defending BS!
|
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 6:04pm On Apr 11 |
Alapereketu:I honestly don't know, this is my second tecno phone , I haven't been using tecno before that spark 9 pro |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by DarkJeddi(m): 6:39pm On Apr 11 |
Wryyy:That's what is called a USP,a Unique Selling Point. A USP can be any particular feature in a non Flagship device.. Wireless charging, water ingress protection, great Camera capability, big battery etc. The point is,these are not things you take for granted at that particular budget, they are bonuses placed to entice at the price point. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 8:45pm On Apr 11 |
DarkJeddi:That's not what we are talking about , why did tecno release a phone with similar specs but remove the USP and sell them for an increased amount Why isn't the previous phone getting android updates even when it has the same processor as the present one |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 8:51pm On Apr 11 |
DarkJeddi:Like do you get
|
| Re: Daylight Robbery by DarkJeddi(m): 9:08pm On Apr 11 |
Wryyy:I know for a fact that most phone brands will give you an idea of what to expect in terms of updates when it comes to their devices. Samsung does and Xiaomi does that I'm aware of,therefore the customer has a duty to himself to get maximum benefits from his hard earned money by doing due diligence. On the aspect of USP,one phone's USP might be different from another's and it's left for the Customer to do his research before committing scarce resources. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by DarkJeddi(m): 9:12pm On Apr 11 |
Wryyy:You are talking about an old Flagship,it's called a Flagship for a reason. And it comes with its own CONS. Of course it is the Customer's right to get the maximum benefits for his money, all things considered. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by L0wk3y(m): 9:56pm On Apr 11 |
Wryyy:Lol that’s why you’re defending your Spark 40pro…if you use any mainstream flagship for a week you’ll realize your spark 40 is lacking a lot. Bro your phone can’t even shoot in 1080p @60fps not to talk of 4k, an iPhone XR from 8 years ago can do better with just a single camera lens compared to the 3 on your phone. Just try it and see, your next phone instead of buying a new midrange device go for an old flagship device. Just for context an s21 from 2020 uses a faster processor, has better cameras, a faster usbc(3.0) port and still has wireless charging unlike the spark 40. These OEMs play on the ignorance of the average Nigerian, knowing fully well that we can’t tell the difference if we don’t already know better. |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 10:03pm On Apr 11 |
L0wk3y:Yo At the bolded is why I'm defending this phone , it's not a flagship and its not as expensive as the SCAMON, for it's price range you have to admit it exceeds the expectations Btw my phone shoots 1080p @60
|
| Re: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 10:05pm On Apr 11 |
DarkJeddi:@bolded hmmm |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by L0wk3y(m): 1:57am On Apr 12 |
Wryyy: |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by L0wk3y(m): 2:10am On Apr 12 |
Wryyy:Yeah, as the max….but the s21 from 6 years ago shoots 1080p @240fps even the 8plus. Not to even talk of 4k or 8k footage, the phone may melt. And that’s compared to a 9 year old iPhone 8plus, yet you somehow still believe you’re getting your moneys worth.

| Re: Daylight Robbery by lexxybb: 4:24am On Apr 12 |
All these hyping about 4k and 8k are needless, Several major TV brands have significantly reduced or entirely suspended their 8K TV production, signaling a major setback for the technology as of early 2026. LG, Sony, TCL, and Hisense have all abandoned or paused their 8K TV initiatives, leaving Samsung as the primary manufacturer still in the market. The reason is simple, there are no 8k content and tv stations to watch on the TV. All those 8k video recording are over-hyped |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by lexxybb: 4:29am On Apr 12 |
My advice is to purchase something that can deliver what you need in a phone. Don't buy a phone just because you want to show that you use expensive phone. Ask yourself how many times have you recorded an event in 4k or 8k with your iPhone and watched such recording on your TV. A thirty minutes video recorded in 8k will not be less than 10GB in size, and you are using an iPhone of 64gb rom (memory), how many of those videos will the phone contain. These things are needless |
| Re: Daylight Robbery by nani667: 11:19pm On Apr 12 |
Wryyy:400K is the cost of midrange phones, why are you looking for flagship specs in midrange phones? Even Xiaomi devices of 600K plus don't have "wireless and reverse charging |
