Flick should never talk of de la Fuente burning out yamal sha, We have an against the odds game against atletico who have benched their starters next week but we can't give yamal adequate rest and roony minutes to build confidence in case he's needed then. Pedri is still on the pitch too

Rashford will be better for teams like Wiki Tourist, Rio Aves, Mallorca, Alaves, Wolves. Any team that wants to play front foot football does not need a player like Rashford. He's not average but something way below average. If he didn't play vs Tico, barca wouldn't be in such position.

I don't want him to start. In a game we need goals to comeback we don't need someone missing them. I just don't know why lamine and pedri played 90 minutes. Simeone has basically rested almost his starters

Beautiful game of football. The 3-6-1 formation worked well in the first half but our defense line was still too high for my liking.

My highlights of the game were:

1) Ferran's header

2) Lamine's pass for Ferran's second goal.

3) Ferran's excellent one touch finish for his second goal.

3) Casado's strength and eventual pass for Lamine's goal.

4) De Jong's pass for Rashford's goal.

5) Rashford's superb finish for the fourth goal despite De Jong's pass being a little bit behind him. It's his 24th G/A of the season. 👏💪😎

Funny enough..... This 4-1 scoreline belies what truly happened. At 2-1 we were hanging on for our dear lives as Espanyol gained the ascendancy and looked to equalise. Till that last few minutes individual brilliance from Yamal and the team to put the game to rest.

I think 4:1 is a fair result for both sides and truly reflect what happened. I mean at 2nil it was looking like a stroll. Then Ferran made it 3 but it was marginally off then Espanyol scored immediately and the tide of the game changed.

Yeah, at 2-0 it was looking like a training match until they scored at it totally reversed to them getting chances upon chances and dominated for a while before our third goal.

And what will be achieved with all these complaints? UEFA is not CAF that they will reverse a football match result after its end naa.

Let us prepare to face the war in the second leg because every obstacles and situation in that match is stalked against us. Playing away with 2 goals deficit, bad pitch, bad officiating, team lacking its sharp edge in front of goal, team creates dozens of chances and spurns it all, best performers out with injuries. It's an uphill climb but not impossible.

A fully fit Dejong is a known defensive liability, yet you wouldn't mind half fit Dejong starting such an intensed game?. Soon, someone will say Araujo should also start because he's showing form against laliga minnows, lol.

At the end of the day, you'll have all of Dejong, Araujo, Ferran and Olmo all starting. Then when barca inevitably lose, fans act surprised. How are you going to win (big) games with all of Dejong, Araujo and Feran on the same pitch lol 😂

To be honest, I don’t think we stand a chance. This isn't some Club World Cup where teams play with fatigue; this is the big stage. It’s better we just face La Liga squarely. Maybe when we’ve made some "heavy" signings we can dream of Europe again.

I just don’t see a backline of Gerard Martín, Cubarsí, and Araujo facing that Bayern front three without someone collecting a straight red card. It would be a suicide mission. My hopes for the UCL this season are very low, but I still love the "never say die" spirit the boys are showing. At least they aren't going down without a fight.
