TimeManager:I live in the north and I am tellingvu what I know...most farmers in the north don't even have bank acct and many of them don't even know what is happening. Go to Kaduna state and see what middlemen are doing, same applies to Niger state where big buyers come to buy up all these good and sell directly to Nigerians. Oga,many Nigerians farmers don't even know what u are saying. During Buhari govt one Edo woman bought beans from Kaduna state worth 100million naira and shockingly, she bought each bag at 18k and sold it all at 185k per bag. So,would u blame the illiterate farmer that don't even know the road to Abuja...or even Lagos? No |

ibechris:Don’t mind him he is shouting farmers farmers farmers are greedy. In the case of rice, Is he aware that its not only rice seed that farmers cultivated to harvesting, they fought diseases, insects and animals using chemicals and machines? Now these come at a high cost of which the government is not willing to do anything about it. Here he is doing nothing but expecting local rice to be cheaper than foreign rice. Is that how it works in advanced countries like America, Canada, and the rest? Kiss the truth it won’t hurt but sets you free! |

Where are the palliatives after total subsidy removal on petrol ?tariff on imported cars are higher than the car itself: ordinary Keke napep is over #4m,when are the free buses, where are the cng busses, how many vehicles are on cng, inflation is 60%, minimum is $46 dollar. What many of vampires are in power? Empty promises for the masses because another election year is approaching. |
This is sure to have "mixed effect" on the economy as the prices of agricultural produce and consumer products would ease but it also has the deleterious effect of dissuading farmers from agricultural activities as the prices of imported palm oil, rice , and sugar will be far cheaper than the locally grown due to mechanisation and lower cost of production and energy abroad.
who is stopping the farmers from mechanizing I hope this is not a short term measure to score political goals after which we will be educated on how food and cars are more expensive in Torontothe game is the game |
Last kick of dying Emilokan 😅🤣😂, Medicine after death🤷🏿 How can someone buy a vehicle abroad for 4M, customs will collect 4M making the landing price 8M .
shebi you wanted free education and free healthcare and free security? Where do you think the money is going to come from for? Aso Villa Bandit, you were suppose to ease many things after removing subsidy particularly transport related parts and accessories 🤷🏿(vehicle parts, tyres, duty on vehicles, trucks, cheap drivers license, cheap vehicles registration) but you didn't. |

Is the FG crashing the price of Fertilizer and other agro chemicals? Or the FG simply want to choke farmers and send millions out of business. It does not make sense when fertilizer and herbicides prices are on the rice but the price of farm produce are crashing. Why not both? |
