His phone number or email must have carried a verification code that authenticate he is not impersonated

Sometimes we do as if we live outside the realities of Nigeria. We destroy institutions in favour of personalities and then expect the benefits reserved for people that build institutions.

How often is it in Nigeria that rhe State House of Assembly Members elected by the people end up serving the Governor more than the people to the point of passing anti-people legislation in favour of the Governor and his cronies?

If the State House of Assembly that is supposed to be the checks and balances for Governors to avoid dictatorship are lackeys of Governors, how much more a Chairman of a Federal Government Agency appointed by any President? Will such President seek for his opponents to nominate the Chairman for him?

If you want a truly independent INEC, change the process for the appointment of the Chairman, Commissioners and even their operational staff.

And for the Obidients, please note that Obi failed to conduct Local Government elections for 7 years of his 8 year tenure. He didn't even bother to allow any State Electoral Commission to function, much less appoint a Chairman to do his bidding. When you see what Governors do with their State Electpral Comissions for the ones who even have the decency to conduct elections, you soon start seeing INEC as a Saint.
