The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has formally taken control of the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

The development followed the unsealing of the party’s headquarters by the Nigeria Police Force in compliance with a court order.

The faction led by National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed confirmed the takeover in a statement issued on Saturday.

According to the party’s National Working Committee, both the Wadata Plaza headquarters and the Legacy House in Maitama were reopened by the police and handed over to the Mohammed-led leadership.

Politics opened my mind to many things and one of the things I learned is. Only people whom position themselves gets something out of this life. You'll wonder why Akinwunmi or Ngozi can't lead a nation. Simply put they'll need to be a politician first. If you leave Akinwunmi one on one with Emeka Ihedioha or Monday Okpebolo he'll probably come second or third. Because he's not a politician.

Many of our politicians are not smart, the smart ones comes seasonally. People like Awolowo and Tinubu are hardly seen in politics. I'm not saying this because I'm Yoruba but till today I have not seen any Nigeria politician with the kind of brain God gave Awolowo and Tinubu. Those guys are special breed.
