fergie001, you once told me you are not aware of David Mark's appeal to the Supreme court. Well, here you have it. So, why is David Mark appealing to the Supreme Court and asking for a stay of execution when you all claimed the appeal court gave no order against his leadership?

Anyway, the Supreme court will definitely give a similar ruling as the Appeal court as there is really nothing to appeal against. David Mark should go and explain himself to justice Nwite of the FHC and stop the frivolous appeals and propaganda against INEC chairman.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly boasted that he assisted certain elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in deploying the judiciary to frustrate the Osun State local government allocation lawsuit.

In a video now circulating widely on social media and obtained by SaharaReporters, Wike made the claim while addressing a crowd in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The former Rivers governor accused the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, of benefitting from judicial actions against the Osun State Government without knowing those who did the work behind the scenes.

lol. The 2025 electoral act is not applicable to the case as it was filed before the law was passed. The court has jurisdiction to hear the case if it has to do with ADC not following its own constitution.

Should we also say that companies should pay their 2025 tax based on the old tax laws since the new tax law started in 2026? You are wrong, once a law is passed, it takes effect immediately otherwise, we have cases in court that are over 5 years old.

Apart from that, the Supreme Court rules on interference with political parties issues was also based on the old electoral act notbeven the new.

Waste of precious judicial time. Interlocutory appeals almost always have to await the determination of the substantive matter especially where the res is not endangered as in this instance. The Court of Appeal position followed by INEC is aimed at preserving the res.
