FG Has Refused To Issue ADC A Venue For Its National Convention - Kola O

24 hours to the @ADCNig National Convention, the Nigerians-aligned political party is yet to be issued a venue.

As the bromide has shown, a letter was presented to the Office of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike, for a permit to use the Eagles Square. The letter was acknowledged but no response.

The ADC team paid several visits to the Ministry of Sports officials at the MKO Stadium. At the end, ADC was refused the use of the Valedrom.

To make matters worse, privately owned Event Centres in Abuja are turning down the @ADCNig requests for fears of harrasments in various forms from the government.

All ADC members, teeming party supporters and indeed all Nigerians are assured that, as contained in the NOTICE issued to @inecnigeria , the ADC National Convention will hold in Abuja as scheduled on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026.

This is a result of fear. If ADC gets their acts right ahead of the presidential election, Tinubu will be defeated.

I've premised this victory on the ethnic makeup of Nigeria. The minorities will make a choice between APC and ADC, while the bloc votes go to ADC.

From the same "master strategist" who declared a public holiday on the day of APC's convention. What are they afraid of? Moves like these will only turn the tide in favour of the ADC and gravitate undecided voters toward the party.

If not that you guys are crops of unserious elements, why don't you move your Convention to Oyo, Bauchi as your A plan then, Lagos, Abia as plan B. Since 1999 this is how you all that were in power Yesterday were doing it.
If you failed to convene tomorrow, you will blame on Democracy.

Common sense should have made you to have such a plan.

They should hold it in ATIKU backyard na, how many are they ? Most they hold it in Abuja? Why not Adamawa, rivers , sokoto ,anambra, Benue or Kano state? Are they not popular in their state or what?

Don't forget that the FCT Minister, Wike, threatened to breakdown the Rivers state stadium and force his way in when it appeared he was denied usage of the stadium which was under construction. Actions like these, supported by you lot, are why APC is losing ground amongst the electorates. Don't think they go unnoticed. Nigerians are watching and paying attention. No one likes a villain and people naturally gravitate toward the one seen to be oppressed.

Exactly my thoughts. Very slow thinkers full that party. Even APC moved their 2014 convention/Primaries to Lagos considering the way the way opposition game is played here. Unfortunately, these ADC current players live theatrics and drama

Why should it be the FG (indirectly APC), be the one approving a venue for an OPPOSITION Party?

First, they appoint the Umpire (INEC Chairman), then they have to decide whether to approve or not, where an Opposition can have their convention?

What NEXT?

As long as these type of Nonsense goes on, Mr. President's and APC claim to being popular or getting re-elected by popular Votes, remain a FARCE.

APC need to win cleanly, based on its performance, if the performances are worthy.
