President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently holding a high-level security meeting with top military and intelligence officials at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Those present include the Chief of Defence Staff, National Security Adviser, Service Chiefs (Army, Navy, Air Force), DSS and NIA Directors-General, as well as the Inspector-General of Police. The meeting is taking place behind closed doors, and details of the discussions have not yet been made public. However, the presence of all major security heads suggests that the issue on the table is of serious national importance. Nigeria has continued to face multiple security challenges, including insurgency, banditry, and rising concerns about safety in different parts of the country. This development comes at a time when many citizens are increasingly worried about the state of security and are expecting stronger action from leadership. 👉 Nigerians will be watching closely to see what comes out of this meeting.

Closed door meeting that yields no outcome. |

Nothing will come out of it other than more cluelessness, uselessness, and corruption. You can't give what you don't have. This circus would have to end soonest - either through abrupt, after-the-fact 'doctrine of necessity' intervention or defined constitutional termination of term provisions. |

obi4eze:That kind of outcome would raise serious constitutional issues. At this point, I think most people just want to see stability and real solutions on ground. |

Macphenson:True, many of these meetings are not immediately public, but sometimes decisions are implemented after. The real question is whether we will actually see results this time. |

All these closed-door meetings, yet no results. Maybe it’s time to open the doors, because whatever’s happening behind them isn’t working. After each close door meeting, insecurity worsens |

I'm with opposition parties on this! Tinubu is not serious about protecting the lives and property of the citizens. All these useless closed door meetings are only for the news. Nothing will come out of it! Instead of him to do something different like creating state police that will work with the support of federal police to tackle insecurity head on, he's playing kites with people's life. |

| Re: Tinubu In Closed-door Security Meeting With Service Chiefs In Abuja by davidotokiblog1(op): 8:11pm On Apr 13 |
Vergovert:Security challenges are complex and require coordination between military and intelligence agencies, which is likely why meetings like this are held behind closed doors. Bola Ahmed Tinubu implementing reforms like state police also involves constitutional processes and agreement across different levels of government, not just executive decision alone. It’s fair to demand results, but these discussions are usually part of ongoing security strategy, not just “for news.” |
| Re: Tinubu In Closed-door Security Meeting With Service Chiefs In Abuja by davidotokiblog1(op): 8:12pm On Apr 13 |
orisa37:Serious allegations like this require evidence and due legal process. Atiku Abubakar and others cannot be convicted through public opinion. If there are credible names or proof, the proper channels are investigation and prosecution through the courts, not social media conclusions. |
| Re: Tinubu In Closed-door Security Meeting With Service Chiefs In Abuja by davidotokiblog1(op): 8:12pm On Apr 13 |
onatisi:These kinds of meetings typically involve detailed briefings from the Service Chiefs, NSA, DSS, and other security heads not just public speeches. Bola Ahmed Tinubu chairs the meeting, but decisions are usually based on security reports and recommendations from professionals in the room. |

BOKOHARAM AND ISWAP KILLED NIGERIA MILITARY OFFICERS LIKE CHICKENS. TINUBU IS C IN C OF THE NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES. POLICE CAN PROSECUTE ALL THOSE SPONSORS BEFORE COURT MARSHALL . OUR MILITARY MUST KILL ALL THE SPONSORS BEFORE THEY KILL US |

Politician meeting with the Chiefs is a perfectly reasonable one. Solid, secure, and undeniably beneficial for the economy. |
