President Bola Tinubu Unveils NRS Corporate Headquarters by ryloy(op): 5:18pm On Apr 14

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday officially commissioned the new Corporate Headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service in Abuja.

The event marked the transition from the Federal Inland Revenue Service to the newly restructured Nigeria Revenue Service.

Tinubu, while addressing guests in a video of the unveiling shared by his Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, hailed the agency’s performance and formally declared the building open.

Another video shows the president cutting the ribbon, flanked by the Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, among other government officials.

Tinubu then moved to read the commemorative plaque.

He said, “The corporate headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service was commissioned on the 14th day of April 2026 by His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This edifice stands as a lasting symbol of integrity.”

According to Olusegun, the NRS headquarters has sixteen floors, three towers, and can accommodate about 3,000 employees.

The transition is part of the Tinubu administration’s strategic restructuring of Nigeria’s tax system, designed to enhance efficiency.

This is a good development. The revenues earned by the Federal government should be unified.
This will help ease in the accounting process and responsibility in good governance.

No single meaningful achievements or a reasonable Idea or a proper plan's to better the life of a common Nigerian... it's so disheartening that our people go just dey play dirty and archaic politcs up and down and put a blind eyes on the main that they were elected for.. instead of choosing national development, good legacy, integrity, respect and the protection of the citizenry interest....All this bandito is always after since lagos days has been taxation, revenue.. taxing, taxing, revenue revenue.. lagos Tax landlord, no idea... All the money that has been generated from the so called Subsidy, person no see or feel the impact... borrowing is on a high rise, insecurity everywhere, common electricity e noo dey... no good hospital, bad federal roads everywhere. Minimum wage lowest in West Africa, passport lowest in west Africa...despite all the oil, we still buy petrol more expensive than originally island of COBO VERDE that doesn't have any mineral resources as a nation... SHAME ON OUR LEADERS... after 2027 Nigerian will know the original idea behind this his just so called commissioned project.. or edifice...whatever you call it...

April 15th is TAX DAY in the USA. If they born you, do not file your taxes. You cannot want a GREAT country without proper taxation and fees. Car Registration in my state is every year or every two years..the prices have gone up. Insurance is a MUST - Car, House, Health...you even get fined in your taxes if you do not have medical insurance. You cannot be getting something from nothing. As the revenue increases, Govt can keep raising wages so our economy can grow. States and LGAs are collecting money...FG is doing its part.

I am not worried about the Loans we borrow. We have so many people that are not paying taxes that will be captured now. Let the funds stay in Nigeria. We would rather spend the funds to buy houses abroad, send children abroad and go on vacations abroad by not paying taxes. That is why you have your celebrities buying new cars every year. Time to redistribute the wealth...and with this new building with improved internet connectivity, we can eliminate human influence and corruption.

Here, you can doctor your taxes, but once you are caught...you are in trouble. People go to jail for taxes...lots of our people are on tax payment plans. Govt will add fines, interest rates on taxes you owe. That is the life in the WEST. Welcome to the normal world.

These guys better prepare to kill me, i don even tire. At least if they kill me I will go and rest but me giving them my 25 percent, nah. Nah, I applied for immigration, police, central bank, road safety, prisons, civil service, i cnat even remember all of them. I was sleeping on nairaland then. I was frustrated, drained, almost took my own life. Then when nothing worked, interviews and the nepotism that denied me these jobs in govt, I hustled, gathered 150k then, paid for tech training at a company in this state, learned, they didnt even teach us well. I resorted to Youtube and indian courses, I learnt video animation, hustled fire. No light, no data. I used to go to betting shop, I will stand with my laptop to learn video animation. They will abuse me because I wasnt a customer, I was just using their gen. It was such a painful experience for me. I will stand up and relax my back agaisnt the wall and place laptop on my laps, then by even, I will go home and if nepa managed to bring light at night, I will be awake to learn. These whole stress and sleepless nights caused me to be diagnozed of high blood pressure early, such a young guy. I never gave up, and suddenly some clients abroad started seeing me and started hiring me, my life started changing. I did it all alone. These b$stared what a cut? From where? They better be contended with the tax i pay via VAt, they already earn well from that, the tax i pay on imported items, banks, etc, no federal govt stuff is free, we pay for all of them including driver license.
Dear Nigeria, I saw hell from a country that has nothing for her citizens. I even forgot to mention that during that phase, i was so broke that I had to start drinking well water which I will fetch, buy chemical from the phamatist to purify it. Gushhhhhhh.
This country gave me nothing, i almost died, I almost committed suicide. This same country abandoned her citizens to generate electricity by them selves, we even repair roads, like for the safety of my ride, I have paid many times for boys to patch roads with sands and bags.
Public schools are wack so, u need to send ur kids to private school. Nigeria, just deport me or kill me. Other countries found me worthy and made me alive today. If not for clients who believed in me, I would have died by now because my babe left me then. I no blame her too. TINUBU, I will never ever vote for u. U are heartless. Nigeria doesnt deserve this.

Then, there's need for aggressive publicity... If more people know about the route, it'll definitely reduce the number using road

Kudos to the management of the Agege train station, great customer service, clean compound, very clean toilet, security is topnotch and they've not allowed those traders filter into the compound
