Lol even for CDCFIB you can still get if you are over 40, depends on your connect. I heard of someone who was obviously over 40 during the last 2024 fire service recruitment. At the point of documentation they rejected the “reduced age” he presented and told him to use his original age. The disadvantage is just that he would have lesser years to his retirement.

You are right. I once wrote here how my relative met a man who was over 50 in FFS camp. Connection is the main thing.

He should have told him the truth that he couldn't help him with employment instead of this kind of discouraging advice. People above 35 gets government job often.

I got my first federal government job at 35years 2months 25 days ,my second federal government job was at the age of 39years 6 months and and few days

Please house, how do I deal with this? I tried talking to the acquaintance I mentioned earlier that his family wanted him to return to help me tell his people I would appreciate getting a job with the federal government which I understand comes with a pay cut and less stress. Since then, he's been avoiding me. Did I do wrong? Can't he just tell me he cannot? I am doing well but just that I wouldn't mind the soft life with extra benefits and job security (I just realized) comes with such jobs and now, he's cutting me off. I thought we were building friendship but is it wrong to ask someone you are not so closed to for favors (that he knows if he doesn't meet still wouldn't make him a bad person).

what the meaning of that he does not what to help. WAEC just advertised a job vacancy and the age limit ni not 40 yrs. They re people who got this government job that is above 40 even. It is only in paramilitary that they age limit is 35
