Hello house. Can one do PTE-core instead of IELTS? Has anyone one here written it and how was it? I notice people only talk about IELTS and CELPIP.
Yes, you can do PTE Core. It's same as other type of English language proficiency test, just that the nature of the test question is different. You have fewer writing and talking to do too. In summary, it's quite straightforward. If you know English language rules very well it's easier than the others.

Hi! i want to apply sask pnp but my first degree and masters is not the same field as my job. Do you know if i can apply for sask pnp if i have a professional certificate in my career path.
They don't recognise professional certificate. Your masters is enough with your years of work experience, that's all you need.
Major Criteria that gives you points
1. Age
2. Years of work experience—either inside or outside Canada
3. Highest qualification

The minimum required point is 63 out of 110 points total. I can't remember th exact point I might be wrong on this

It's like pvo Ottawa + svo Sydney is very slow. My file has been stagnant since after I submitted biometrics.

Timeline:
AOR December 20
BIL January 28
Bil submitted January 29
Eligibility not started, background verification in progress since 29 January.

Ordered GCMS on 6 February and 2nd March and they were exactly the same, no change since biometrics. I don tire.

My fear is that they should not reject my application after I have waited this long coupled with the chance that I won't easily get another ita due to age. I just wish they completed my eligibility. Background can take as long as it has to take and I won't really bother cry cry

Relax, it's barely 4 months. IRCC timeline is typically 6 months just a few exceptions sometimes with people getting it under 2 months. Mine took 5 months+. Sometimes everything gets completed at once

I would advise you use your 5 years of experience as this would help you max out on the points for experience. I believe you've done your WES so whatsoever you evaluated during your WES is what you're using for the PNP. They don't recognise professional certificate not gotten from Canada or the province itself. Your MSc or MBA will do.

I wanna apply for nursing program as a domestic student. I currently live in Ontario (Kitchener), working as a PSW for 2yrs. I also have PSW cert from Conestoga. I am confused whether to go for RPN (16 months) or BScN (4 years).

Hello Nairalanders.

I was here during covid and left when draws were closed. I wish I didn’t give up then. I see the POF now and I almost cry. I am back now and I want to get into the pool as soon as I can.

I want to start by applying for WES and then I will take the English test. I am so scared though. I want this so bad but I have a lot of “what ifs”.

I need to have some sort of accountability. It would be nice to have someone in the same stage as me so we can check up on each other’s progress.

Is there a telegram group I can join? Please share with me.

I am currently facing a challenge with proving my work experience because my former employer paid salaries from a personal account rather than a corporate account. I understand that this may raise concerns when verifying the legitimacy of my employment.

To address this, I intend to provide a detailed Letter of Explanation (LOE) clarifying that this payment method was the standard practice within the company at the time I was employed.

Also, I intend to ensure that my employer clearly states in my reference letter that salaries were issued from a personal account as part of the company’s operating structure during that period. I will also include the account name and number used for these payments for transparency. I plan to obtain a sworn affidavit from my employer confirming that this was indeed the method used to pay my salary.

do you guys think that together, that these documents should help establish the authenticity of my employment and provide sufficient context for the payment arrangement?

this are the docs i am preparing

Employer reference letter
Appointment/offer letter/contract and NDA's signed
Employment ID
Bank statements (stamped per page by bank branch)
Colleague/senior letters from 2–3 people
Salary progression letter showing all three pay phases
Affidavit/letter explaining third-party salary payments
CAC Certificate of Incorporation
CAC active status printout from search.cac.gov.ng

I used a third party website. I also heard that it can be ordered for free via an ATIP request.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice or insight from people familiar with Express Entry or who may have been in a similar situation.

About 5 years ago, I created an Express Entry profile but never received an ITA, and the profile eventually expired. I no longer have access to that old profile and don’t remember all the details I entered.

Now I’m creating a new profile, and I’ve realized that one of the work experiences I included back then (from 2018) is different from what I’m including now. In my current profile, I’ve listed a role as a Technical Support Analyst, based on my actual records and documents. However, I honestly cannot remember what I had entered for that same period in the old profile. The period in question was quite busy for me. I was fresh graduate and I was doing many things at the same time. I was working full time at a clinic as a tech support analyst, I was also working full time, for a hotel, mostly on sleep-in night shifts (10pm -5am) where I only work if needed (and I am very rarely needed). Both jobs are very different and with different SOC codes. I have never applied for any Canadian visa before.

All my other work history is consistent , it’s just this one job in 2018 that’s different.

My questions are:

Has anyone been in a similar situation where their old Express Entry profile had different information?

Does IRCC actually compare expired profiles with new ones?

Should I be concerned about misrepresentation in this case, even if my current profile is accurate and truthful?

Would it be better to include this job or leave it out, even though it is essential for CRS points?

Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your concerns. This is a common situation for many applicants, and while it requires careful handling, it is manageable with the right strategy.
Here is my advice on your next steps:
Transparency is Key: IRCC does maintain records of previous profiles. If there is a discrepancy between an old profile and a new one, the best way to handle it is to be proactive.
The Letter of Explanation (LoE): You should include the job that is essential for your CRS points. However, we will draft a clear Letter of Explanation to accompany your application. In this letter, we will state that your current profile is the accurate one based on verified records and explain that any previous entries were made in error or without the supporting documents you now possess.
Truthful Documentation: As long as you have the legal documents (reference letters, payslips, contracts) to prove your current claim, IRCC generally views a correction as an act of good faith rather than an attempt to deceive.
My Commitment to You:
I will provide you with an accurate guide through this entire process. We will ensure your current profile is 100% truthful and backed by solid evidence. I will help you structure your documentation so that your history is consistent and clear, minimizing any risk of a misrepresentation finding.
Send me a pm for further guide

Just put those jobs in personal history, only claim points with the recent experiences you have and can sufficiently prove

Good Afternoon everyone,

I'm 39yrs with Msc and over 6yrs experience working in a manufacturing firm as a production Supervisor/Manager.
What's my chances of entering Canada through the provincial nominee program and can you recommend any province with my skills.I need honest response before putting in for IELTS. The score I'm seeing for EE through federal is no it at all.

yes, but the issue is that I cannot even remember the work experience that I put there. That's why I am worried.
I am worried that if i receive ITA and apply, they my pull up that profile from 5 years ago and compare side by side

Include both job in your application since you have the option of just leaving them in your personal history. You don't have a concern if you're not claiming point for them. Just declare and move on.

My mom wants to transfer an amount to my account as a gift deed. What should be the title of the transfer. Or is “gift deed” enough?

For the bank transfer memo, use a clear description like "Gift from parent" or "Family support". While the bank memo is useful for narration, it does not legally replace a signed gift deed or gift letter, which is required to document the source of funds for tax purposes and to prove the money is not a loan

Must this gift come from a family member? In a case where a friend is gifting, does the applicant need to prove the relationship?
