The Syrian President was appointed by the US. Who was he? ... a "terrorist commander" fighting against the US forces in Afghanistan. Note ....Syria was better before the invasion and ousting of the government. Since 2014 ...been fighting ISIS? ..or entered but never left? Did they leave because of the pounding by Iran? .... did they leave because the Khurds no longer support them and have promised to take side with Iran if things escalate? ..or both? Trump has exposed the US as a paper tiger in this new era warfare.

The civil war that split the country due to the weakening of the Assad regime led to the infiltration of ISIS mainly coming in from Iraq.

No country in the world from Saudi to Iran to Iraq wanted an ISIS spread because it threatened their sovereignty. ISIS was about breaking down borders, redrawing maps and unifying territories under a caliphate.

Russia and to a lesser extent Iran had unsuccessfully tried to prop up the Assad regime but it continued to lose territory until the US insisted he had to go so that there would be a ceasefire amongst the warring groups and ISIS as an organization could be tackled head on.

With Assad out the US decided that instead of pursuing an Iraq or Afghanistan type democratic quest with impossible outcomes they rather deal with the biggest dog in the fight. And now that that fight is over and a semblance of control is in place they are leaving.

What is so hard to understand about that if you have followed this story over the years.

Well the big difference is that the middle east is thousands of miles away from the US while Nigeria is our home. It is a question of how you deal with your child versus how you deal someone else's.

The target for the US this time in Syria was ISIS. Al-queda as an organization is operationally decommissioned. And except you expect the US to stay in Syria and start planting democracy which it could not successfully do in Iraq or Afghanistan, they had to deal with the biggest bully in the class and accepted Al-Sharaa, who wisely decided to statesman.

Now, ISIS is not a direct threat to the US, but to it's allies in the middle east which reflects US interests. The US has a defence pact with most Gulf states and Israel which was also in the cross-hairs of ISIS. ISIS was ultimately going to overthrow those Gulf monarchies and establish a caliphate of their own.

Bokoharam/ISIS on the other hand is a direct threat to the Nigeria state, the Nigeria constitution. Call it an organization that is executing a long running coup against the government with the intent of turning Nigeria into a caliphate. How do you negotiate with that.

First of all the Syrian president is the West's puppet. He was on the most wanted list in the US, then they made a deal with him to out Assad and Iran's influence in Syria. He did and had since visited Trump where they laughed. Visited London too. They trust him.

Now they are withdrawing from the bases set up to oust Assad. US withdraw knowing they have another Sunni leader loyal to Washington.

The US have abandoned the Kurds in Syria to jolani and turkey to deal with. At least the onces in Iraq have autonomy, the Kurds in Syria got nothing

I hope USA haters can now swallow their words in shame when they said that Taliban chased USA in their country when it was actually USA under Trump first tenure then that decided to leave because he said there is no need of USA military presence in such a hostile country that doesn't need them which they will be wasting so much money to maintain their presence their same with Syria
