Governor Mbah’s inter-local government road projects are obviously underreported. The Akama Oghe–Aguobu Owa Road branches off from the strategic 44.8 km Ama Brewery–Eke–Oghe–Iwollo–Umulokpa Road, linking Udi, Ezeagu, and Uzo-Uwani LGAs. Mbah is quietly opening up rural and semi-urban areas, linking communities, easing mobility, and driving development across local governments.. Tomorrow is here https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1B6qVJekgH/

Roads are getting better across Nigeria, but they are small and tiny roads. These roads are very tiny. If you want to open up towns, build wider roads and train tracks. These widths of roads could have made sense in 1954. Today is 2026! You are building roads for the next 50 years and not for the past 40 years. There will always be more cars every year because the population will keep increasing. Unfortunately, there is no way this kind of criticism can be made in these climes without some unknown quantities that are supporting the party in government trying desperately to attribute all sorts of malicious intents to it.. |

owobokiri:I have always known that you people would still feel bad and criticize this good news. The previous governors and government that did not do this, you did not criticize. And now someone who saw the need for this has done it and you are not even happy. Na wa for you o . Enugu state government should continue the good works. The subsequent ones should come and build on it I would time everywhere would open up. As for criticizers, criticism is free but do it with common Sense and open mind. |

The south east is known for beautiful structures in rural communities 📌💯. See as Men raise sharp houses. Anambra tops the chart for me 🙌. |

owobokiri:Well said, man. First off, credit to the Enugu State government, there’s definitely some effort being made, and it’s good to see development happening. Congrats to Ndi Enugu as well. Hopefully, this is just a starting point and things will keep improving. But honestly, I still feel like governors in the South East are not doing enough when it comes to real, long-term infrastructure. Some of these projects we see trending online feel more like publicity than actual impact. Whenever I travel to Enugu and see how narrow most of the roads are, I can’t help but wonder, if real commercial activity picks up here, will these roads even cope? Right now, the roads look fine, even “beautiful,” but that’s mostly because there’s not much pressure on them. Roads designed for keke napep and korope buses, not for a growing city. If we’re being realistic, infrastructure should be built for the future, not just for campaigns. Sometimes, we are quick to criticize projects in Lagos, but if we’re being honest, Lagos government is still the best consistently pushing functional infrastructure at scale. Meanwhile, in the South East, we need to start focusing on projects that will still make sense 20 years from now, not ones that may not even last through a governors second term. My main point is, a lot of roads in the South East are too basic, narrow, limited, and not built to standard for future growth. Yet they get a lot of praise on nairalandfront-page, whereas, more ambitious projects in Lagos get criticized. It’s not about condemning anyone, but we have to be honest, there’s still a lot for improvement. People keep encouraging Igbos to come back home and invest, but then you look at the infrastructure and start to question how realistic that is. In my Enugu, for example, the only wide road is the Enugu–Port Harcourt expressway, which is federal. Most other roads are just normal two-lane or even single-lane roads, with little space for expansion, with unnecessary decorative markings. At the grassroots level, the situation is worse. In my village, there are only two tarred roads, a federal road that passes my village, and one done by a private individual. Not a single bank in the entire Local government. I have to travel to city to get a bank. Just one police station, at the Local governmentsecretariat. Then you start asking yourself, what exactly are we calling development? Again, not to dismiss the efforts being made, they’re appreciated. But there’s a clear need to do more, and do better. Hopefully, the current efforts will evolve into more practical infrastructure that can truly support growth in the long run. |

Yorubasarecurse:The right thing to do is appreciate before you criticizing. I am not even Southeasterner but a good thing will always be a good thing . None of your previous governments did all these but you never had the ground to complain. Now someone has done it and rather than encourage him to do more, you are here crying that what he did is not good. Even with this one he has done, do you know the level of development it will bring in the next few years |

yemre:There is nothing to praise about this. I went through the pictures and even saw more substandard portions on the road. The funds earmarked for the road is not Peter Mbah’s personal money. The money budgeted for the project was either borrowed or raised through taxes. The people deserve value for the project/s. We should learn to stop glorifying mediocrity in this country. |

Those roads are not New roads.... There are rehabilitated. The poster make it look like the road was built from the scratch . But then compare to madam ifeayinwa ugwuanyi MBA is a giant. Ugwuanyi was a total failure .. Enugu have a very beautiful landscape. |

Honestly,I just came from Enugu and I am wowed. The local roads are tarred and so neat and alot of rural constructions. I am surprised it's the local government chairman of agwu I was told constructing all the rural roads. Everyone should not just be shouting tinubu for development, we have state governors and local government chairman who should develop the local areas. Mehn, Enugu is so neat , organised and developing rapidly. There is really an active government in Enugu, I must confess Tabithatim: |

owobokiri:The reason we hit you hard is because the same set of politicians like David Mark, Goodluck jonathan, Peter Obi and co that dont have ANY LEGACY PROJECT, didn't construct good roads if they ever constructed anyone at all are the ones you're comparing with Tinubu who is busy CONSTRUCTING QUALITY ROADS and INFRASTRUCTURES all over the place. It's an insult to compare APC to that association of failures who don't have any meaningful things to show for their years in government. Nigeria is making progress with Asiwaju and we don't want any set of unfortunate persons to disrupt that progress. Goodluck jonathan WAS BORROWING TO PAY SALARIES THE ROAD in David Mark's senatorial district was in terrible condition until TINUBU began fixing it. I can go on and on but go and do your research about the years of David Mark, Atiku, Peter Obi and co. |

This is the way to go. Kudos to the governor of Enugu and his team. Creating efficient and varied transport links to rural areas can open them to commerce, development and prosperity. Some here may be aware of how some communities in Nigeria, after over 6 decades of independence , can only be reached by hiking trails and motorcycle paths etal meaning they are bypassed by development and modernity and would stand no chance against well-armed marauding invaders. For Nigeria to develop optimally, efforts should be made to ensure rural areas play a full part in the solutions mix by treating them as linked extensions of Cities instead of forgotten and abandoned geographical spaces. China did precisely same with her rural outreach plans and reforms that elevated 800 million Chinese folks out of poverty between 1978 to date. It really is something Nigerian leader should look at critically as a model to refine for local peculiarities and adopt.

Tabithatim:This is what I expect governors to do especially in insecurity prone areas ,if the roads are good then the joint task force can respond faster and it will be a huge red flag to bandits not to waste time in such areas or else they will get caught . |

damoobaba:Can you point out anywhere in that post you quoted where I was comparing Peter Obi, Jonathan and Co with your lord and personal saviour Tinubu? What is wrong with you guys? Hunger? So hungry you have to post anything just to be paid by the APC? What kind of nonsense is this? As someone who have lived outside for a long time and traveled widely, I suggested that roads and city developments in Nigeria should be done taking into consideration the growing population and all that. How is that suggestion a "Peter Obi vs Tinubu" affair? The road was built by enugu state governor and not by Tinubu. Why are you desperate to insert Tinubu into all these? Na waaaoo |
