– Opening the Strait of Hormuz was part of the original 2-week ceasefire agreement, but this was dependent on a ceasefire in Lebanon.

– As soon as the ceasefire was declared in Lebanon, Iran also abided by its promise — opening the Strait of Hormuz for commercial shipping.

– This ‘opening’ is only valid for the duration of the ceasefire, unless it is extended upon mutual agreement.

– The Strait of Hormuz is under full sovereignty of Iran, and ships are only allowed to pass through the corridor designated by the IRGC Navy and with prior Iranian permission.

– American military vessels are not allowed to cross the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran imposed 3 conditions for ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz:

1. Ships must be commercial; the passage of military ships is prohibited, and neither the ships nor their cargo should be related to ‘hostile’ countries.

2. Ships must pass through the route designated by Iran.

3. The passage of vessels must be coordinated with the IRGC Navy.

The itchy fingers of the Ayatollahs want to set off some fireworks again—fools! Anyway, whether the Strait of Hormuz is closed or open, all Iranian ports remain shut—nothing comes in or goes out! If the IRGC is truly strong, they should attack the American naval ships enforcing the blockade rather than firing projectiles blindly at Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, etc.—cowards!

The US is not a weakling but the problem is Trump talkst oo much and reveals things that he should keep to himself as a surprise. The element of surprise is very important in conflict or war situation but Trump is making US to lose that edge because he talks too much so Iran is able to know the next step and prepare or counter it.

some of you guys are so dumb its alarming, there is no u.s naval presence in the strait or in iranian waters but they are enforcing the naval blackade from the gulf of oman and the persian gulf not physically blocking the iranian ports.

you don't seem to know what petrol dollar is. As long as oil trade is disrupted in the Middle East, USA is losing. USA promised to secure oil trade and in return oil will be sold in dollars. This why they can print 40 trillion dollars and just claim it is debt and nothing will happen. If any other country print 100bn dollars of their currency that country's economy will simply collapse but USA can print 40 trillion dollars and nothing will happen because there's daily demand for dollars to trade oil. If USA cannot protect oil trade anymore, countries will have no need to use the USD to trade oil and you will be surprised by how quickly the US will completely collapse
