It's called an alliance of survival.
Show yourself as being a supporter of the "winning team" to gather solidarity votes for your own candidates.

Nothing new here. It's a matter of interest and survival all put together in one. Ordinarily, the ADC should have adopted Ademola Adeleke and his team by not fielding any candidate for the various available elective posts in Osun State hence, Gov. Ademola Adeleke would have in turn returned the favour by asking his people and supporters to vote for the ADC presidential candidate irrespective. He's only pitching his tent with Tinubu not because he likes him going by all that has transpired but because of his tribal links as a Yoruba and his ancestral roots linked to Iragbiji, Osun state.

This is why it will be difficult for men of principles and integrity to govern this nation. The politics being played is one of survival and stomach infrastructure. The political parties are simply tools for grabbing power, they lack principles and no coherent law is guiding them. Nigeria is just a spectacle of drama and mediocrity.

In a sane clime, these two components of Party Politics must promoted from the Top of Party Echelon to the Bottom.
What you salute in this confusion is Political Patronage not based on substance but personal gain.
It doesn't show mastery rather it shows poor understanding of what Party Politics should be.
Politics should neither be of Bitterness nor of Cash Carry!

Indeed.

If we have been getting it right from 1999 and the quality of our democracy is positive, the country will be better off today. The things we talk about most frequently will be external competitions with other nations for power, prestige and development not the basics of survival, life expectancy and misery.

Every regime comes in with vain promises of hope but departs leaving the country much worse than they met it.

Is this not what we as a people should stop for a moment and think out a solution....but no. Nigerians cannot build a decent society. It is all about individualism. As long as I am better off than my neighbor, my fellow citizen, my actions are justified. We totally lack collective vision.

Politics is beyond the superficial,what you usually see is usually a facade.... adeleke needs tinubu more than anything else and timubu isn't averse to him getting his second term if for anything to neutralise aregbesola.
