It is not over yet. Arsenal can still lift the trophy. |

It might still be too early to just write off every other team. There is no guarantee that either team will win all remaining fixtures, because even teams facing the drop and those trying to qualify for Europe can be very motivated to give their all. This is FOOTBALL, anything can happen.🙄 |

Reference:it feels like everything unraveled really quickly, and when that happens it’s natural to zoom in on a few decisions and think, “that’s where it all slipped.” But football’s rarely that clean-cut. Even for someone like Mikel Arteta, those moments you’re pointing at don’t exist in isolation. Fatigue, injuries, form dips, opponent quality, even luck—they all stack up. What looks like “a handful of bad decisions” is usually a whole chain of small margins going the wrong way at once. And saying the season is over… that might be a bit final. The Premier League can swing fast, and the UEFA Champions League especially doesn’t always reward the “best-looking” team—it rewards the one that survives moments. Plenty of teams have looked shaky and still gone deep or even won it. It’s fair to expect more, especially if they built a strong position. But it’s also worth remembering where this team was not that long ago and how much progress has been made under Arteta. Growth at that level isn’t linear—sometimes the setback is part of what sharpens the next step. Feels disappointing right now, no doubt. But writing the whole story off in April might be a little early. |

Pastorsarynzay:I get the idea you’re going for—that momentum and belief can flip everything. There is something real about that psychological edge. But it’s not quite that automatic. Even if Arsenal F.C. reach the UEFA Champions League Final, it doesn’t suddenly hand them the Premier League. Momentum can boost confidence, sure—but it can also stretch the squad thin, increase pressure, and shift focus. Chasing two massive prizes at once is usually where teams drop points, not gain them. We’ve seen it plenty of times: big European nights followed by flat league performances. Also, the league isn’t just about mindset—it’s about consistency over 38 games. If it’s already “not in their hands,” then even a psychological lift won’t change the math unless other teams slip. So yeah, reaching a final could energize them, no doubt. But calling the league “theirs” because of that? That’s a bit of a leap. Football doesn’t reward vibes alone—it still comes down to results, week in, week out. |

franvincoop:Alright, take a breath—this is football, not a psychological warfare documentary. From a fans lens, what you’re calling “frustration” is actually the pressure that defines title races. Arsenal have been here before this season—written off, doubted, then bouncing back with authority. Yes, dropping points hurts, especially when you’ve led the race, but it’s not the automatic collapse you’re predicting. As for Manchester City, nobody serious denies their ruthlessness. Under Pep Guardiola, they don’t “share points” out of kindness—they take control when it matters. That’s the standard of a champion. But even City have had moments where things didn’t go to script this season. Now, the idea that Mikel Arteta and his squad won’t sleep? That’s fan banter more than analysis. Elite players don’t crumble that easily—they reset, refocus, and go again. If anything, adversity sharpens them. And about Turf Moor—Turf Moor is never a walk in the park, no matter the opponent. But football has a funny way of humbling bold predictions. The same energy today can flip in 90 minutes. City are favorites, no doubt. But writing Arsenal off as a “joke” ignores how tight, unpredictable, and mentally demanding this run-in really is. This title race isn’t over until it’s mathematically done. |

Don't worry about the confidence level, the battle line has been drawn, what constitutes a champion will be displayed in the next few weeks and Arsenal has what it takes to be champion. We go forward no shaking! nedu666: |

Reference:First, calling it “nonsense” ignores how effective the system has actually been at times. Mikel Arteta didn’t just copy a false 9 idea blindly from Pep Guardiola — he adapted it to fit the players he had. When Gabriel Jesus first arrived, the fluid front line helped Arsenal become far more unpredictable, with goals coming from multiple players instead of relying on a single striker. That’s not inherently a broken system. Also, it’s not entirely true that Guardiola or Barcelona have “abandoned” the concept. Pep still uses variations of positional play and fluid attacking roles at Manchester City — even when using a more traditional striker like Erling Haaland, the structure around him is still very much about movement and space rather than a classic target man setup. The bigger issue for Arsenal hasn’t just been tactics — it’s profile and execution. Kai Havertz and Jesus both offer movement and link-up play, but neither is a ruthless, high-volume finisher. That’s less about the system and more about not having a clinical edge in key moments. Bringing in someone like Julián Álvarez wouldn’t necessarily contradict the system either. He’s actually well-suited to fluid attacking football — he presses, drops deep, and can still finish. In other words, he could improve the system rather than expose it. Arsenal’s problem isn’t that the system is fundamentally wrong — it’s that the squad hasn’t quite had the right balance of creativity, movement, and elite finishing to make it consistently devastating. |
