WizardOfNG:Just as i expected....you take a small snippet of a wider statement or discussion, which on it's own doesn't convey the right intent of the speaker, then frame it as the be-all-and-end-all of the discussion!.....Basically, quoting out of context! I suppose that was you giving the unsolicited jaundiced and revisionary editorialising in the clip? We were all here on this forum when Buharis' murderous goons were mowing down in cold blood tens if not hundreds of innocent Igbo/Biafra youths and agitators! Mazi Kanu was complaining about the extra-judicial state-sponsored murders, but at the time forumites like you either laughed at him and the situation or went on to 'justify' it! Mazi Kanu is only human, and when he sees his own kinsfolk murdered by the evil hegemonic state who then turn around to laugh in his face at his anguish, were you expecting hugs and congratulatory back-slaps in return? His anger was RIGHTLY directed at the evil Nigerian state whose security forces, to this day, are still embroiled in sordid questions of human-rights violations, extra-judicial murders and enablement of terrorists.....THAT'S THE CONTEXT IN WHICH HE MADE THAT STATEMENT! But i don't expect you to see reason or empathise with the many Igbo/Biafra victims of the murderous Nigerian state because your contempt for anything Igbo, Biafra, Kanu, Obi, Otti, etc, is well known! ***** ***** ***** A few links from neutral observers: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/8/5/nigeria-accused-ruthless-crackdown-restive-southeast https://www.amnesty.nl/actueel/nigeria-killing-of-unarmed-pro-biafra-supporters-by-military-must-be-urgently-investigated https://punchng.com/12-ipob-members-regain-freedom-after-four-year-detention/ https://www.facebook.com/GalaxyTV/posts/court-frees-12-ipob-members-after-four-years-in-detentiona-high-court-in-ebonyi-/1108546077978911/ |

truthera:Rubbish. Nigeria is a multi-ethic and multi-religious Nation. How can you childishly say Tinubu "authorized and supports the initiative" when operation safe corridor precedes PBAT and is a globally endorsed program Tinubu would appear unprogressive dismissing? Grow up bro. |
| Re: Injustice: Nnamdi Kanu Remain In Jail As Tinubu Frees Over 700 Fulani Terrorists by WizardOfNG: 12:41am On Apr 20 |
IGBOSON1:Rubbish. There is no validation for any man, in a society that is guided by the rule of law, to declare he has the power to decide who lives or who dies. As simple as that. |

WizardOfNG:Horseshit! YES!.....It's adequate validation to fight madness with madness when one can't get protection from the rule of law and is forced to operate based on the laws of the jungle! You want others to be bound by the limitations of civility and rule of law while you're free to go rouge abi? So this is the 'smoking gun' you have against Mazi Kanu that 'justifies' you and the demonic Tinubu gov't tagging him 'terrorist', getting him 'convicted' as one, and getting him to serve the 'sentence' in Sokoto!?.....Or is there more? |

Don't mind that fake fellow, I've given him an assignment to dig deeper into his bag of propaganda and provide the full version of the video. I won't bother engaging him until he shares it..... Nigeria's government sent over 100 people in the south east to their early graves through military extra judicial killing spree operations - https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2021/08/nigeria-at-least-115-people-killed-by-security-forces-in-four-months-in-countrys-southeast/ Till date no one in Buhari or Tinubu's lawless government has been charged or held accountable over these killings but it is Nnamdi Kanu who didn't shoot any one, carried no weapon that is been labeled as a killer and a terrorist..... IGBOSON1:Typical. You guys, more than anyone else, revel in victimhood because you simply do not have the capacity to be reasonable and to accept responsibility for your wrongdoing. You will forever be problem to yourselves because of this basic flaw that is crucial in defining humanity. When you cannot see your wrongdoing, to then own up to such and accept whatever punishment is prescribed, you are a problem. |

truthera:Yes I am a "fake fellow" but what are you and your co-travellers? Two wrongs can never make a right. You will never get this because you lack one human quality very important to living successfully with others under the laws of a land everyone is bound by. I.e the ability of a man, whatever the excuses or provocation, to accept his wrongdoings. Especially those with severe legal consequences. Others will always be better than you, cry less than you do and get more out of life, society and the relationship with their fellow men because they don't lack this crucial quality of man that you do. |

| Re: Injustice: Nnamdi Kanu Remain In Jail As Tinubu Frees Over 700 Fulani Terrorists by WizardOfNG: 7:11am On Apr 20 |
aswani:Simple. We are talking of someone who is no certified or trained Lawyer yet was still shouting recently, at his court trial, "you don't know law" at the prosecution legal team full of SANs and acclaimed lawyers with decades of experience in their craft. "Pride goes before a fall" is the perfect saying that defines aberrant people who feel they are above the law and, in any situation, are always innocent while others alone are guilty. |

I actually miss being entertained by terrorist and sit-at-home blowhard Kanu shouting that question "Show me di law!" The worst possible fate that can befall a pompous rabble rouser who lived for social media fame, is to lock them up where the sun never shines, so that all their impotent ranting and raving is NEVER heard beyond the prison walls, for the rest of all time. No more shouting hysterically and urging cult followers to "burn Nigeria down". No more shrieking abuse at imaginary enemies like a demented bonobo. No more access to that fresh poon that every man craves, so that inactive member will simply shrivel away like a starving commode maggot. No more ululating for military and law enforcement personnel to be killed by cult members. Goodbye, Kanu. Your fate is far more fitting than the death penalty, because you will spend the rest of your wasted existence stewing in your own bile and rage, until that inevitable day comes when your mortal remains are buried without ceremony amid the desert wastelands of Sokoto State. |
| Re: Injustice: Nnamdi Kanu Remain In Jail As Tinubu Frees Over 700 Fulani Terrorists by WizardOfNG: 9:57am On Apr 20 |
Jakumo:Indeed Sir. The wider issue though is where Nigeria is heading when it is 3 geo-political zones (SW, SS and NC) that appears to host people who understand the need for absolute respect of our national rule of law while the other 3 geo-political zones(SE, NE and NW) are full of indigenes who believe rule of law does not apply to them. They want amnesty for terrorist killers and bandits (NE and NW) plus the right to form eye for an eye militia (Kanu and IPOB, ESN, UGM etal) no sane nation in the world will allow because of the simple concept of how "and eye for an eye makes the world blind". Mahatma Ghandi. To the extent people of those geo-political zones believe they should be allowed to go around murdering others in cold blood citing one excuse (religion, persecution , self-defence etc) or the other (revenge, disenfranchisement , lack of opportunity etal as claimed by Gumi to justify murderous banditry) our rule of law does not view as valid. How is the incendiary and lawless antics of those regions fair to others, in the same nation, doing everything to keep the peace and civility geographical spaces need to foster sanity and normal socio-economic activities? When such drastic homogeneity of vision and ideas is lacking in a nation's major ethnic groups, then that is a nation sitting on a keg of gunpowder with a possible violent end. |

WizardOfNG:Armed separatists and their propagandists never fail to trot out those same tired old "justifications" for the bloodshed they wreak or encourage from afar, and that is what makes their influence so dangerous to any nation. Imagining themselves to be "freedom fighters", or "religious warriors", those misguided renegades conjure up an alternate reality in their feeble little minds, in which murder is permissible under exonerating conditions that they feel entitled to define, regardless of the unavoidable legal penalties for homicide that they seek to wish away in a torrent of agitated rhetoric. |

WizardOfNG:Dude, one can't help but wonder why you're zeroing in on this particular extract from a much wider assertion or story!? It appears you're just fishing for something 'incriminating' you can use to try and 'justify' the hatred you and your boss Tinubu have for Mazi kanu and also 'justify' your support for tagging him a 'terrorist' and making the necessary moves behind the scene to ensure he's moved to Sokoto! Nothing in all this sordid affair shows malice, hate and vendetta more than that last act of ensuring Mazi Kanu is moved to Sokoto! When i warn Ndigbo to be wary of characters like you and Tinubu, situations like this justify my stance! Are you taking exception to that particular snippet because you thought Mazi Kanu was threatening you, Tinubu or your entire ethnicity? I'm just trying to understand your thought process here! Other prominent Nigerians have equally called out your 'darling' Nigerian military for being complicit in the protracted high level of insecurity in the country...particularly the northern part, and have accused them of colluding with terrorists! They have told civilians to arm and protect themselves against these vermin criminals....whether the terrorists or the military personnel colluding with them! All that one no concern una! Rather, what you're obsessed about is how to try and rope in Mazi kanu, IPOB and Igbo in general into the unfolding story of insecurity in Nigeria! Talk about chasing rat from room to room when the entire house is going up in flames! That daft accusation of 'victimhood' is laughable and just you playing your usual mindgames! Mention specifics that show this 'playing of victimhood'! What you want is for us to keep quiet while you churn out all sorts of lies, revisionism, and engage in all sorts of wickedness against those you despise and see as the 'competition' that needs to be sabotaged and held down! |

IGBOSON1:Obviously you are not familiar with criminal law, as it pertains to homicide in particular. Unless you seek to invent your own personalized "laws" as your Nazi Kanu thought might be possible before getting slam-dunked into jail for life, I suggest you read this next paragraph carefully. I have applied boldface to this following paragraph for clarity, in case you have a short attention span. When a murder by shooting, for example, is committed ANYWHERE on this planet, an EQUAL burden of culpable guilt is assigned to BOTH the person who pulled the trigger, AND to the person who encouraged that shooting with words either spoken or written. Since no sane person dare dispute the numerous online instances where Nazi Kanu and "Disco" Simon Ekpa openly called for killing of their own people who could not comply with illegal orders to "sit at home" that were issued by those two lunatics, it follows logically that Kanu and Ekpa are just as guilty of capital murder, as are the crazed gunmen who carried out those illegal orders to massacre people in Igboland. Now that you have abandoned fantasy and embraced reality, you will no doubt agree that the jailing of Kanu and Ekpa is both justified AND long overdue. Kanu will grow old, then die in prison, while Ekpa will be DEPORTED straight back to Nigeria after serving his 6-year jail term for terrorism in Finland. On arrival in sweet home Nigeria, Ekpa will ALSO wind up being tried and jailed for life on charges of terrorism and genocide. Thank you kindly, sir, for offering me the chance to educate you on these fundamental rudiments of criminal law. Have yourself a fabulous day! |

Can the nairaland mod that keeps on using the auto-spambot to hide my posts tell me why my right of reply to the jakumo fella is being denied me? I was minding my own business when out of nowhere he sent me a rude and condescending post, and TWICE NOW that i've posted a response to his unsolicited post, TWICE has it been hidden! At the last attempt, my post was visible for a good length of time...long enough for me to make a correction to a typo' error, but when i came back some time later to see if there was any reply to my post, lo and behold it had been hidden YET AGAIN! Meanwhile, the post i've been trying to reply to is left up there! Is this forum giving everyone a level playing field or is the field, as some suggest, tilted in favour of a particular ethnicity/region and political leaning!? |

jakumo, if you know you're gonna throw jabs at others and run behind the anti-spambot for protection, then have some shame and don't throw the first punch! You're pathetic! |

Jakumo:It must be fun ensconced away in the tranquil of America, dictating to us in flowery diction to adhere to regulation and cheering for the incarceration of rebellious exiles Disclaimer: I don't give a hoot about the individuals in question cuz their methods and statements are reminiscent of self-serving despots. My grouse with you is pretending Nigeria's rule of law is sacrosanct and that advocating its overhaul or annihilation of those designed to perpetuate it is to be strongly discouraged via severe punishment. It's privileged and rich to type that disagreeing parties should exercise suffrage. For the rest of us, it's quite annoying You're supposed to know none of this bs works. It's a ruse, smokescreen, sham. Partisan politics in Nigeria/Africa, including the upcoming presidential elections. It's a huge joke and the least effective way to replace the current moribund system. Two things: 1) if this were incorrect, you wouldn't abide in the diaspora. You won't celebrate kinship and allegiance to nationality whose ancestors actually took the violent steps you now condemn 2) if elections truly advanced societies and civilisations, we wouldn't have witnessed mutinies such as the French revolution. Things don't change for the better by placating rulers with inscribed cardboards. What we have currently is not even a democratic government. We can neither hold them accountable for their lapses nor evict them. Nor can we investigate the electoral body's inability to transmit results. Elections are decided even without our votes, you have kids with fictitious voting particulars, etc. It's a huge joke, buddy The least you can do is not to mock those attempting to make a realistic difference or rejoicing over their persecution. There's a proverb by chinua achebe I suggest you take to heart: Those whose palm kernels were cracked for them by a benevolent spirits should not forget to be humble |

Westves:The jailing of genocide instigator Kanu will be viewed by historians as ranking prominently among the wisest actions taken by Nigeria's judiciary to preserve order in Igbo-land, but also to stabilize the entire the nation of Nigeria, from the desert to the sea. When similar life sentences are also handed down to captured Jihadist terror gang members in the north who in the past might have escaped justice by seizing the option to "repent" and go scot free to sin again, true equity under the law will be SEEN to prevail all across Nigeria. While Kanu may never have wielded an assault rifle to shed blood with his hands, his frequent online calls for the "burning" of property and the "killing" of police or military personnel, led DIRECTLY to numerous homicides, arsons, and kidnapping incidents on a scale far greater than could have been perpetrated by a lone misguided gunman. The power of a charismatic leader to rile up impressionable individuals for mayhem is a potent weapon in the wrong hands. With an eye on recent history when Rwandan political leaders who urged mass cutlass killings via radio broadcasts in Rwanda during the 1990's genocide, were jailed for life by the International Criminal Court in Den Haag, The Netherlands, the jailing of Kanu and Simon Ekpa for their key roles in eastern Nigeria's ongoing unrest can be viewed in the proper context. A legal precedent has been set, highlighting the stiff penalties that await by genocide instigators, even if they have never taken a human life personally. |
