The Chief Executive Officer of Vaniti Lagos, Uyi Ogbebor, has warned critics of his nightclub to steer clear, as he may be forced to show his might if pushed to the wall.

Ogbebor, popularly known as Sir Uyi, made the remarks in a post shared on his official Instagram handle, @sir_uyi, while reacting to allegations that his nightclub sells fake drinks.

He described the claims as unfounded while highlighting the scale of his business operations.

Reacting to the controversy, he wrote: “Sometimes these people need a reminder. My humility is because I know where I came from, and I definitely know where I’m going. I don’t score cheap gains for peanuts. I grind every day and night for a good life.”

He further highlighted his business impact, stating, “I employ over 1,300 Nigerians across my businesses. Employing over 1,300 people is no small thing. That’s 1,300 families with income, with stability. That’s real impact, and it speaks louder than any MOPOL convoy or paparazzi moment ever could.”

Downplaying the focus on his nightclub operations, Ogbebor added, “My nightclubs are the least of what I do. I no small, o. Na when you try me, you go know who I be. Leave me alone, let me face my business. I be Benin man wey sabi.”

Meanwhile, his media team has cautioned those trying to dent his clean business record, clarifying that Uyi has always been apolitical and has at no point delved into politics, blaming the recent development on politics.

They also warned those targeting Vaniti and other businesses owned by Sir Uyi, because of his silence and refusal to align with any political divide, to tread with caution, stating that they cannot stay idle and watch his efforts of many years go to waste.

Respect anybody that owns a business or company that employs people in today's Tinubu Nigeria.....the guy is right angry

People collecting salary every month will never know what it means to employ people and be the one paying them salaries every month

If you want to talk, go on business talk shows, CEO's meetings, etc not doing public stunts so the country will know you're a business man.

In advanced countries, safety is non-negotiable. In fact, the bigger the company, the more the scrutiny, not less.

You are doing no one a favour by employing 1,300 families. You want to grow, that's why you employ. If you dont want your business to grow, then fold it up na.

I don't mean to talk down on employers but you should know safety is a big concern. Health is paramount. When customers or inspectors raise concerns of fear, business etiquette should let you know you should welcome and allay it, not boast about the number of employees you have. In fact, that is a big red flag.

The question is who validates that the drinks are not fake? The guy may with good intention believe that he's selling original drinks, but his supplier is defraudung him.

Oh! So, it’s about politics now? Well, I have not heard the name till now though, but wonder how he could be caught up in Naija politics when he’s just doing his own business. He said he employed more Indians than Nigerians due to certificates and not by merit. He said he imported 100+ tankers to deliver fuel to direct buyers.

He also said he can sell the refinery to NNPC if the pressure gets too much.
