Much of Nigeria was under Sharia Law for over 1300 years. Google your Nigerian history from the 1700s or the period before the British, and you will find next to no development over even that period. Look at Northern Nigeria over the last 20 years to see the effects of Sharia Law. It is incompatible with 21st-century life and living. 😒😒😒

Many of you people run to UAE, Saudi, Qatar and other countries that use Sharia with little or no problem and that justifies my assertion if you can read what I wrote.

The rate of development in those countries even surpass that of many other countries in the so called West! Sharia is not a problem but politicizing it as we always do in Nigeria which is not restricted to only Sharia is the major problem!

I don't think Governors joining the useless party is for such purpose aside deceiving themselves towards winning the next election. As a governor, who won't want a cash out of over a 100 billion just to have a state referred to as an APC state, aside the federal favors.

No matter how you try to tarnish Islam, it will always keep shining. Sharia has always been the constitution of the North before the Christian British colonizer terrorised Nigeria and gave us their constitution with force. You can't impose your way on a country the is predominantly share by both Muslim and Christian. 1. Going to a place as a tourist or visitor is not the same as going there to live full-time or seek citizenship. You should know this at least. 😒😒

When you look closely at the economic development metrics, you will find that they are not doing well at all. They are trying to do this by reducing the influence of Sharia on the lives of their citizens. For instance, Saudi Arabia has had to change a lot of its Sharia law to accommodate foreigners and open up its economy over the last 20 years.
