A Nigerian lady living in Japan shares how politicians campaign over there and honestly, it’s shocking

No loud rallies. No blocked roads. No chaos. Just calm, organized communication with the people.
Now compare that to what we’re used to in Nigeria 🇳🇬…

The difference is clear—but the real question is:
Can Nigeria ever get to this level?
Watch till the end and tell me what you think
Would you prefer Japan’s style or Nigeria’s current system?
...and since we keep hustling backwards, we will never get to this level.

...and the person is absolutely correct. Nigeria can never become a developed nation of our dreams like Japan, Korea, etc, not going to be possible except Nigeria breaks up into smaller countries.

We only want excellent, accountable leaders like Peter Obi to lead us in order to set some things straight so we can continue with our normal Nigerian mediocre life cry cry

All I want from the next President is:

1.) End this madness of insecurity that have made Nigerian highways and almost every part of Nigeria a risk

2.) Implement electronic voting and other things that will make our elections free, fair, credible to at least 90% so Nigerians can start electing their desired leaders, and so that politicians can start delivering on their campaign promises knowing fully well that only their performance will reelect them and not relying on tribal-religious rhetoric and gimmicks like Bola

3.) Cut down cost of governance in Nigeria.

These three things are the only things I expect Peter Obi or next President to tackle head on

4.) Unite Nigeria by carrying every tribe and region along sincerely to make our diversity become a true strength and not a curse like Tinubu and Buhari did.

In fact whoever told Tinubu that sidelining every other tribe and region and making Nigeria all about Lagos and Yorubas never liked him, that person deceived Tinubu.

But as for Nigeria becoming developed like this Japan, Korea, Singapore and co, its not ever going to be possible again, sadly cry
Nigeria can be transformed just that those that will pay the price and lay the foundation may not be alive to witness it, because it will take years to accomplish. Its grooming the children of today that will see that dream come to pass. The indiscipline and corruption in the average adult Nigerian can not be easily corrected. To see a new Nigeria, someone with the will power will lay the foundation for the coming generation

That is how they do their democracy in western world. You don't even need to know the candidates . All the candidates of each political parties will just put their manifesto through the little opening in your door to your house especially in the UK. Foristance in the UK there is going to be local government elections coming up in two weeks time. All the parties are involved in distributing leaflets. It is left for you to vote or decide not to vote. Politics in western world is not a do or die affairs.

One question i will like to ask you is must we always copy the evil part of things
Just single light current nepa you cant have in a country you called your own how do you want to be part of that country when you have the means to move

Any one that has been in darkness and see light wont want to be part of the darkness again for life
Though i know most black man most especially nigeria dont like development so its not a new thing
She can carry on and do the needful

This is a clear case of Inferiority Complex.

WHY SHOULD NIGERIAN POLITICS COPY JAPAN?

Do you people even KNOW that we practice the US Presidential system?

Is there anything QUIET about the US Presidential system?

Have you ever seen American campaigns and rallies?

When an American visits Japan and sees their "quiet" politics, he simply shrugs and moves on, saying "to each his own".

But a Nigerian goes there and sees it, and immediately inferiority complex enters her head.

She goes on social media to start trashing her own country and saying "see how angelic these people are unlike we devils".

EMANCIPATE YOURSELVES FROM INFERIORITY COMPLEX.

All those things are 'arrangee systems'. When you try to establish an independent party and get frozen out by their media, you will get sense fast.

They look democratic on the surface, but when you look deeper they are one-party states masquerading as democracies.

It doesn't matter which party you vote in, they follow the same core policies, eg support for 'Israel' no matter what they do, and such corruption.

America is a very clear example of this.

See how quiet their so-called opposition has become, as Trump threatens to annihilate entire civilisations.

They are all one and the same.

Country of normal human being
In the 90s, Japan used to have vending machines for men to purchase the soiled underwear of female minors (burusera).

The country allows the sale of images (comics) depicting minors being abused. And they didn't ban images of real children being abused until 2014.

The age of consent in Japan was 13 until 2023.

Ito Shiori had to fight hard in the court system to get justice after being sexually assaulted even though she had the attackers DNA on her clothing, video footage of him dragging her body, and a driver that corroborates her asking to go home multiple times.

In Japan, bosses abuse people when they try to quit their job. They have to hire people to help them quit.

1. Peter Obi is just like tinubu, is just like the other governors. Let's not lie to ourselves.

2.So, you don't want a government that would industrialize this country? Do you know that the main cause of insecurity is lack of good jobs?

3. The only reason to vote for peter obi is to vote out this current set of corrupt leaders. But let us not pretend that he is going to make Nigeria great. Na the same old show he go do.

4. And you guys should face reality. Nigeria is not going to prosper so long as we think that we are as rich as Saudi. Nigeria will prosper when you people relaize the true cost of development

5. And no, I did not say you should vote Tinubu or atiku. Vote for Obi. I will even go as far as saying that Obi should be the next president. But let us not lie to ourselves. Our leaders and followers want to share money, not to develop and until we end that mentailty, we will be forever a backward insecure nation.

6. And there is nothing like peaceful breakup of Nigeria. Not when we are all relying on the same old oyel. If you want one endless war of attrtion, ask for division of Nigeria. Peaceful division happens in countries where they are using their natural resources to make exportable products. That is why Czechoslovakia split peacefully....and why Yugoslavia was a mess spliting up
Why do you like to gaslight obi, obi want money and he didn't collect pension from Anambra State, he didn't collect land, he didn't collect any house in Abuja, come on give it to obi.
Tell me any governors that has ever rejected all this.
Obi will so much Reduce the cost of governance, he would make governance less lucrative. That is why they are fighting him.
Stop sitting on the fence give him his full accolade.

I guess he is in a political party that is not popular, just like we have in Nigeria too, whereby only 10 votes ( family members & friends) vote for some presidential aspirants in parties such as PRP, PMN, ADC etc

Yawn. Obi and tinubu are the same, as are most of our leaders. All of them are the same.

Nigeria needs a leader with a plan to get us to use our resources to make exportable goods, and as far as I have seen, not one, and I repeat, not one has a plan for that. Also, we need to stop trying to have leaders who make everything cheap...because trying that for decades in the name of subsidy has wrecked our economy badly, and obi is saying subsidy removal was wrong, and we know tinubu protested against subsidy and was forced to remove it because IMF was not going to borrow us any more money.

I don't know about you, but I am tired of 'we will build roads leaders', we will make food cheaper leaders.

LIke I said, vote for Obi, let's vote out tinubu, but let's not pretend he is going to be a different leader. No be lie.

You go to school to copy knowledge.
All your stay in university, you are we’re copying and trying to understand a proven workable system.

The American system you quoted does not work well here… and it may never work.

Why can’t we copy another system, or develop an indigenous system suitable to us?

With our current system, we may never see development of Nigeri.
