Cambodia's Scam Economy Hits $19 Billion 40% Of GDP by Jd1900(op): 11:12am On Apr 21
Cambodia:
$19 billion

India:
$10B–$12B/year from US victims alone (call-center scams)
Add other countries (UK, Canada, Australia, EU, Middle East, etc.) → likely another few billion
Globally
$20B per year

But everyone is still talking about Nigeria!

Nigerians are too loud and extravagant once they hit money. So much so you think they are the best in the game.

Always in a hurry to impress and oppress.

You'll erroneously think Nigeria is the scam capital of the world not knowing they're just a small percentage of a global problem rooted in other countries

It's the same with drugs. Nigeria is just a tiny part of it globally.

Saw a piece yesterday claiming scam globally is around $500 billion.

If we plot Northern Nigeria map very well, i know it will reach 75% of their economy thats dependent on religious intervention.

The reason why Nigeria features so prominently amongst global scammers is that we have this culture of showing off. Imagine a scammer showing off his ill gotten wealth on social media

Nigerians are just too noisy.
that is why they do less, but take more responsibility.

Indians travel more than Nigerians
Yet it is Nigerians who travel out and in two weeks, claim to be travel agents

Jamaicans sell drvgs more than Nigeirans
But it is Nigerians that go around claiming that to me rich is more important than how you made the money

scamming is of virtue in Nigeria. You can be a scammer and be the envy of 500 sane looking ladies in your community. I doubt thats the case in Cambodia

To commentators who said we're loud, that's not entirely true. It's because you consume mostly Nigerian media content, not Cambodian or Indian. Thus, to you, we're loud. Indians consider themselves loud because they consume Indian/South Asian media content .

Another reason why we could be described as loquacious is because we're an English speaking country. Since the global language is English, our acts gets greater popularity.

A lot of white people with poor critical thinking skills have lots of money because of systemic racism, neocolonialism, and colonialism. These scammers mostly tell them anything and get their money.

However, some scamming is sophisticated and you won't know about potential threats without specific information. Take a class or two on it (watch a bunch of videos) to see what's out there. And pay attention to news about it.
