JuanDeDios:
Mr Mahama was lucky with gold prices and a couple of other things. Once a major commodity helps force down inflation, your economy is good to go. The universe aligned in his favour. Mr Akufo Ado far less so.
How can a government be lucky with good prices...? shocked

Isn't it good, efficient and effective policies that help bring down prices?

A couple other things like what please? The previous government was rocked with scandalous corruption cases one of such cases is with the finance minister who is currently in self exile in the US. With the Ghanian government having filed for his repartration back to Ghana to answer corruption cases against him.

No such issues of corruptions with the present mahama 's government.

Inflation doesn't just go away with luck. It takes planning and policies to curtail it.

No such thing as luck without planning and putting the right things in place.

Mahama is a good leader. I would rate him one of the best in Africa presently!

Mahama is a very good public speaker with a likable personality and charisma...

Ghanians are fortunate to have him as leader. He has really stabilized their economy after the last regime of akufo ado left it almost completely ruined and in a state of devastation.

Even the present Iran/isreal and US war hasn't affected their economy much.

I love his vision and leadership and sometimes wish we had few leaders in Nigeria who had some of his personality and attributes.

Ghanians should be proud!
sides Chick are very much happy

I pity those wives that cheat on their husband. Most of them are the ones that couldn't raise an upright children and watch their male child turn to gay.
I'm sure you've raised perfect children. Be careful the rubbish you spill because of politics. What goes around comes around. You must think parents have total control over the choices of their adult children.

No country is not affected economically as far as Iran/UsA war is concerned. I disagree with you to say Iran war did not affect Ghana

Stop arguing blindly without checking the facts...

You can't just quote someone and say I disagree without giving your own facts. Anyone can do that.

And I didn't say the economy wasn't affected... the stress in my comment was on much There are other ways it has affected but negligible effects.

The price of fuel in Ghana is still same with government paying around two cedis or thereabouts which is the supposed increment ( part subsidy) on behalf of the citizens!

Sheuns:
Listen to what a president is saying?

We thought this one was different.
What he appears to be suggesting can be summarized as follows:

1. Government remains the largest spender in most African economies, and its fiscal activities significantly influence overall economic performance.

2. Developmental projects—such as road construction and infrastructure—require substantial capital outlay, but they also stimulate economic activity by increasing money circulation.

3. Increased government spending on development and capital projects tends to have positive ripple effects, contributing to broader societal and economic improvements.

When you hear statements like “na road we go chop,” you may wish to consider the following:

a) Who is employed for the semi-skilled and unskilled aspects of these projects? Are they not largely Nigerians, thereby creating jobs and income?

b) Does the government not pay contractors, who in turn pay workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders within the economy?

c) Are infrastructure projects—such as roads and railways—and the availability of a reliable transport network not key factors investors consider when deciding where to locate industries?

d) Does an efficient road network contribute to insecurity, or does it instead help reduce it by improving accessibility, response times, and economic opportunities?

“When the spouses and the side chicks get, the hairdressers too get.

The dress makers get, jewellery shops get, and handbag sellers get. So don’t discount that one at all,” he added,

drawing laughter from the audience.

They were laughing because they all knew he was saying the truth.

The President was encoding all the codes.

But even he was saying the obvious, i dont thing such should come out from the President; such statement will likely encourage olosoism

He could have be more diplomatic in his speech.
