Why not? Are you suggesting that Zedcrest has hit the limit already? How does this play into the current bull run of the NGX?
I'm aware of the relative position of Zedcrest compared to other funds in terms of YTD yields. Right now, the fight for the top is between CSOF and Zedcrest.
However, my question has to do with the cut-off period to subscribe to benefit from the expected gains for today.
No @bold, I only meant they are performing extremely well. I really don't know how the daily gains are calculated, if u get in before 12pm, maybe it will count for the day.

It's closed to the general public. to invest in CSOF, you'd have to Cardinalstone via email. The minimum amount required to invest is 100m and it has a holding period of at least 365 days. Zedcrest is matching CSOF toe to toe in terms of YTD and has a much lower entry point and a lesser holding period. CSOF appears to have higher fees too.

Good morning,

How do I invest in CSOF?

Zedcrest cut off: 3 pm
Cardinal Stone: 5 pm
Re: Equity Investment. by auschris: 12:06pm On Apr 23
Got you. That's like timing the market. Imagine if one held on to their cash when the bull run started at the begining of the month waiting for a dip. Would that have been a sound financial decision? With individual equities, I believe there will be some merit in taking that stance but with funds, i,m not sure they behave in that manner. This is my layman's understanding
CSblackpink:
He's trying to say Zedcrest is too pricey for now; you can get in now if you are well funded; however, you need Yakubu to come to see the real gains if you subscribe now.

Seems zed updates gains earlier than 1am these days. Possibly around 11.30pm ish
Re: Equity Investment. by CSblackpink(m): 12:14pm On Apr 23
You can't time the market; however, the benefit of getting in when the market is bleeding can make a huge difference later on. Nevertheless, it's not too late to get in; just reserve some funds for Yakubu. Higher units, higher gains—higher dividend payout.

Thank you, I do have funds to take advantage of whatever the market is doing per time and I plan to be in it for the long term except in acute emergencies when I can't raise funds from other sources. This is part on naija retirement plan or part of my contribution to the economy grin

Alright, once the market starts bleeding, don't dull it; top up aggressively.

Fund managers will also pay dividends if I'm not wrong any idea on when dividend payouts will be for any FM
Re: Equity Investment. by CSblackpink(m): 12:39pm On Apr 23

Do I have to update both my CHN and CSCS or what do I have to do here?

I thought we suppose to have the 1 CHN only but different CSCS for all our FMs.
CSblackpink:
It's my foreign broker's app, "StashAway."

Re: Equity Investment. by CSblackpink(m): 12:48pm On Apr 23
If you are not buying stocks, skip it. It is not mandatory for their equity fund subscription.

Cool

Any info about how much was declared per unit last year
Re: Equity Investment. by CSblackpink(m): 12:53pm On Apr 23
Around 2 naira per unit. Check their fund fact sheet. Just type "Paramount Fund Fact Sheet" on your Google tab, and it will pop up.

Yeah I've noticed early updates around 12am twice now. From next week when trading ends by 4pm, most fund managers will start updating late night or early next morning.

I was able to get into Dansugar @67. Thanks for the recommendation.
Beeron:
Okay, so one thing I noticed is most guys out there in the stock thread often dwell majorly on sound fundamentals, corporate news and price action. But for me, I dwell more on Technical analysis. I use the maths in the market to calculate probability, market trend and mood.

So If I recommend Dangote sugar, that's because, the maths are adding up. The trend and market regime confirms it.

Lastly, I just checked Dangote Cement, Dangote Cement had been fully bought as at March, the chart shows investors don't want to sell as most people want to hold for a long time. However, few people that sold, created limited opportunity for new investors to buy. Those who bought are clearly buying an already overbought stock so the upside gain in pecentage will be very few. That's why it will be wise to just wait for a dip or reversal.

Don't try to time the market desperately. Patience is key

Bought and 69 buy placed trade at 66

You lost opportunity of 66.something sha earlier today if you intended to buy
