I visited our party secretariat, where I met with the Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi and members of the State Working Committee.

In our discussion, I shared my plans for Lagos and reaffirmed what we all know but must keep front of mind that Lagos remains central to Nigeria’s growth and future.

The work ahead is clear and together we will keep Lagos moving forward.

I drew on his experience and perspective, reinforcing the need to stay focused on what truly matters to Lagos and the work ahead.

Hamzat is already a done deal. I say a big congratulations to him. His emergence speaks to why patience and loyalty pays in politics. I have no doubt about his capacity to deliver excellently. However, he should work more on his politics. To excel in Lagos, you have to be an all rounder. All the best as you lead Lagos to the next level.

Initially it was hamzat that always wanted to be governor while sanwo olu deputise. But see how faith turned that. He has been loyal to his boss , sanwo olu too. They carried themselves along easily. So I guess it will easy for his support. Wishing him the best.

Not difficult to see why. I called it in favour of Hamzat a while back because he simply ticks all the boxes as a 'steady hand' that the GAC (Governor's advisory council) and majority of leadership stakeholders in Lagos endorse.

The name of the next gov of Lagos will be given by your Oga at the top
Inconsequential endorsement is only for the pocket of the endorsers
Some inconsequential elements also claimed Obasa was gone until Baba had the final say
Saki should not be doing like Ora

Those touting Ambode fail to understand that the ability to progressively carry everyone along as much as posiible, including many extremely wealthy and accomplished stakeholders important to Lagos behind the scene, puts Hamzat ahead of all others.

His leadership history confirms it.

Lagos State politics is deep. Why now they are now adding KADIR to Hamzat's name? Is it because of the current governor is a Christian and the incoming governor is a muslim.
I think the GAC should have allowed Ambode to complete its 4yrs. Please note, it has not happen in Lagos politics that deputy will succeed its governor.

Consultations are allowed but in my own opinion, Obasa doesn’t have the last words. Those are mere political rhetorics. Omisore did more than consulting and moving around in Osun state. Eventually, Ambo was given the the ticket… Nothing has been decided yet and I believe Ambode still stand a chance.
