Thank you 🙏
WizardOfNG:
I believe so too and I am backing him to become Governor.

Those touting Ambode fail to understand that the ability to progressively carry everyone along as much as posiible, including many extremely wealthy and accomplished stakeholders important to Lagos behind the scene, puts Hamzat ahead of all others.

His leadership history confirms it.

It is always a sign of class and critical intelligence when a man does not poke his nose in the affairs of others.

Your kind will never understand your talk only shows you are aberrant and unhealthy invested in the affairs of others and probably to the detriment of your own core constituency.

Tell the divisive "I don't think in Yoruba" upstart GRV to go and contest in Anambra.

Una wahala too much and that is why you are always fighting, dividing and alienating folks wherever you go.

Why can he not be governor?
Any particular reasons beyond bigotry whose climate beneficiary has a stranglehold on the state while the rest of you folks play the role of useful idiots?

Lol.. Name the "free" States in Nigeria, with no one holding them for "blokos", better than Lagos that is the first choice of all Nigerians per economic migration.

Some of you will just open mouth to spout gibberish.

Dealing in half-truth and deception as usual. Can I ascribe to lead Anambra , if say "I don't think in Igbo".

You guys are nauseating hypocrites. GRV is a Yoruba-hating bigot and he has made this fact clear, with his words and action, on many occasions.

This is why he can never be Governor of Lagos. You can remain here lying to yourself and your co-travellers.

AKWATGOLD1:
Lagos State politics is deep. Why now they are now adding KADIR to Hamzat's name? Is it because of the current governor is a Christian and the incoming governor is a muslim.
I think the GAC should have allowed Ambode to complete its 4yrs. Please note, it has not happen in Lagos politics that deputy will succeed its governor.
Stop being mischievous.

Lagos state had an unwritten rule of Muslim/Christian rotation and it was the turn of the Muslims after Sanwo-Olu's first tenure because Ambode a Christian had already used up 4 years out of the 8 For Christians but the Muslims were matured and allowed the Christian Sanwo-Olu a second term for the sake of peace and that meant the Christians ruled Lagos continuously for 12 years instead of the original 8 years. Hamzat was the one originally being programmed for governor but he had to relinquish his ambition to Sanwo-Olu just because Tinubu felt it still a Christian turn.

People like you are the reason there is religious violence in Nigeria because you want to bring chaos to Lagos because of greed.

Besides, Ambode had never been a loyal person because he tried to destroy Tinubu in Lagos. Hamzat on the other hand has been 100% loyal to Tinubu for more than 20 years.

When did thinking in Igbo or Yoruba become a criteria to becoming governor
You guys just allow empty, shallow tribalism to turn you to muntulas
Even the oath of office is taken in English. The word governor is an English word. Yet you say the occupant must think in Igbo or Yoruba when he's only required to speak English to take office
No educated person must think life this. It's abnormal

Here we go again. You people lack shame. A deliberately divisive statement, indicating GRV intends to disenfranchise a major ethnic group in Lagos, is what you are trying to spin as if addressing toddlers?

Why did he say he does not think in Yoruba? Why not say he does not think in Hausa, Tiv, Edo etal since those ethnic groups also have significant numbers in Lagos?

A Governorship candidate sincerely ready to serve a cosmopolitan State, with literally 100 different ethnic groups, will never mention any particular ethnic group unfavourably.

Such is not done anywhere in the world even if it is the norm where you come from.

Problem with you lot is that you don't have the innate sincerity and intellect needed to carry the senseless arguments you make here.

Hamzat is already a done deal. I say a big congratulations to him. His emergence speaks to why patience and loyalty pays in politics. I have no doubt about his capacity to deliver excellently. However, he should work more on his politics. To excel in Lagos, you have to be an all rounder. All the best as you lead Lagos to the next level.

It’s been Hamzat turn as far back as 2014/2015. After Fashola tenure, Obafemi Hamzat being one of the most popular candidates had to step down for Ambode at the request of Tinubu. I vividly remember the primaries in Onikan.

Again in 2019, Hamzat had to step down for Sanwo-Olu again at the request of the party leadership.

Hamzat has been patient for over a decade. This is his turn now.

He not thinking in Yoruba simply means he's not narrow- minded or led by tribal jaundice and considerations.

That's the perfect mindset to lead a cosmopolitan state. Khan is Mayor of London, Mamdani is Mayor of New York. These are two cities Lagos aspires to be favourably called among. They don't think in English. Trump praised Allah recently. The king of England greeted Tinubu "E Kaabo" in Buckingham Palace.
The world has evolved past your myopic tribal shell.

GRV whom you seemed obsessed with has embraced such modern appeal instead of staying stuck in the era of tribal supremacy. You should too instead of rationalising and glorifying nonsense

Rubbish from a shameless individual. I have been a Londoner longer than anything else in my time on Earth.

Khan would never say "I don't think in Bengali" or "I don't think in West Indian" as there is no scope at all for that sort of public show of bigotry in the UK today.

I am pretty sure also that Mamdani would never announce "I don't think African American or Jewish American".

That you guys don't know how to retrace your steps and instead prepare to double down on your insincere and redundant arguments only confirms you are dedicated and ireedemable bigots.

Crap. Total infantile crap
You're not in a position to speak for Khan or Madani because I'm sure you're not remotely affiliated to either of them
You're not exhibiting any intelligence at all in this discourse
You're nor able to explain how a Yoruba man saying he does not think in Yoruba makes him a bigot. Such twisted logic is only found within folks like you

Well-said. Hamzat never threw any tantrums nor become a loose and vindictive cannon like Aregbesola etal.

He exemplary showed an extraordinary ability to put Lagos interest above his own while refusing to fight those who said 'not your time".

He remained a valuable part of the team contributing progressively to the forward march of Lagos. Who, in the eyes of the GAC, is a better Governor of Lagos than that?

Glad folks like you are here to educate many of the "small kids" here who probably began following politics after 2023.
