I applied on the 16th of April 2026, same day the application opened, and I got a test link which had an expiration time of 7 days from receiving the VJT and ODVI. I took the test @ 9pm with HireVue, on the same 16th April and submitted. After submission I got some basic competencies report and my Shell workday dashboard is currently showing the status below.



I heard if your application can scale for the first 10 days after test completion, the AI did grade you well. All the best to everyone

They sent a rejection email today

Do people really get into shell? because the negative reviews on their recruitment process is a lot.

I also applied on 16th April, I just checked my application portal, is still showing assessment in progress. Hmmmm, that is Nigeria recruitment for you.

They actually sent rejection email, then I confirmed from the portal

It was actually easy, they asked 3 questions

1. A situation you’ve had to ask for feedback or advice
The advise you got
What you learnt about yourself

2. A time you’ve had to work with someone that has a different opinion
How you handled it
What the outcome was

3. Something about Shell liking progress
Why do you want to join Shell

Someone that did the ODVI 2 days ago was sent a mail to write the 2nd assessment this weekend.
Another person that did there's 4 days ago was sent regret mail.

As for me I did mine 3 days ago but no mail. Meanwhile two people before and after me got mails.
Maybe they are not reviewing it in the order it was submitted.

But the fact is yes someone I know Got a mail to do the second assessment this weekend which is the success mail

Same here, haven't heard anything yet despite submitting since Saturday, 18th (last week).

I just did mine on 25 of April, I was only sent mail on my performance feedback

I got a mail that there is no available space in my preferred unit. That they will reach out if there is an available space. Hmmmmmmmm

Did your shell.wd3.workday status change after the latest email? Just asking because my status still shows in progress, and it's been 8 days since I submitted. Don't know the reason for the delay, an updated email would be nice.

Don't expect any feedback till about a month at least. If it's supposed to be positive feedback anyway

I noticed regret mails were sent in 3 days for exactly most of the people I know

Does it likely mean prolonged mail simply means one succeeds but could also mean on succeeded but the department is filled as someone mentioned

Apparently, it’s an “operations” role, and it’s not in their upstream business (SNEPCO) itself. I applied too but I lost the appeal tbh
