Nigerians who HATE Nigerians will read this NONSENSE and use it to justify their HATE for their country.

Meanwhile, Nigerian Authors who write in English have set the BENCHMARK for literature in Africa and the World.

EVERYBODY knows China Achebe.
EVERYBODY knows Wole Soyinka.
EVERYBODY knows Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

NOBODY can name ONE author from Kenya without first searching GOOGLE.

There are NIGERIANS who speak with BRITISH ACCENTS without having step out of Nigeria.

While some people will lay ALL the blame at the feet of Nigerian Politicians, Ruto SHARES in the blame.

People in Leadership positions should know BETTER than to make STEWPID generalisations.
Ruto is a yam head but everyone in Africa and around the world knows Kenyan Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o

Like seriously, coming from a president?

Kenya ke, with terrible accent.

He forgot that Nigeria is the most educated country in Africa.

By the way, it smacks of classified ignorance making English the common denominator of good education.

I'm sure an average indian man from a country also colonized by Britain will not utter such gibberish.

He forgot that while they have Swahili as almost a national language, we have Creole which is Pidgin. So, he takes Pidgin as the bad English perhaps.

Why are Kenyans always so annoying. The ones I have here as friends feels their Europeans, opening long teeth when they see a white man. I don vex angry

No wonder the whites call us black monkeys, see the nonsense coming outta the mouth of a so-called president of a country.

Even a secondary school student won't make this senseless statement......The whites who own the language have different accents.
Trump has produced worse gibberish. But I am saying, why should an African president from a country that has an indigenous national language and spoken against cultural imperialism promote English language in such accasion ?

President Ruto de play ⏯️ ni ?
Instead of him to Confirm or Deny President Tinubu's Assertions that Kenya is Worse Economically than Nigeria,he was full of jesters!
SE na English we go chop?
SE na English Kenyans go Eat 🧐!
Then it means President Tinubu Statement, even though you may not like Comparison of the two Countries - is Right.

If he was referring to Buhari and co, then he was right!
Buhari basically chews his fulani tongue whenever he was talking..

Personally, I wondered a lot if other Heads of States across the world did understand Buhari during those his endless foreign trips..

But I think Nigeria speak better English than Kenyans, both in fluency and correctness. But this is the least thing to brag about in Africa, you should brag about your own language

WITHOUT Google, I did NOT know him as the author of Weep Not, Child which I've read.

And that's EXACTLY my point.

I'm an African and I still need Google to learn the identity of an apparently SUCCESSFUL Kenyan Author.

And I can assure you, I've read WAY MORE books than the average African.

Meanwhile, Chinua Achebe was still mentioned in a RECENT episode of Abbot Elementary.

My point was NOT to discredit Kenyan Authors.
It was to demonstrate that Nigerian authors who ply their trade in English Language have had more FAME and SUCCESS than their Kenyan counterparts.

What happened with your post is highly UNLIKELY to happen if you go to a Kenyan Forum and ask about Achebe, Adichie or Soyinka.

Plus, a Nigerian Girl recently won the African Spelling Bee in the Junior Category.

And a Nigerian boy, Daniel Adesiyan, representing Rwanda won the Senior Category.

Point being when it comes to MASTERY of the English Language, Nigeria is SUPERIOR to Kenya.

There are many areas in which Kenya can SHEET on Nigeria with IMPUNITY, speaking or writing English is NOT one of them.
He is a prominent writer in those days
Very good oo no capping

Foolish reply to a challenge in economic performance replied with colonial mentality. I wonder 1st African pioneers in disciplines and professions that Kenya can boast of. Or, ever got in history. Almost, none. Not even 2nd......

Not even dobKenyan have better prose writers in English language than Nigeria. Nigeria has the 1st African to win the Nobel prize in Literature. Where has Kenya been since 1987 since 1987 with its English, to date. He is incapable of seeing and assessing itself and Kenya from its larger standings. So only an erroneous reply lk dat is what do often emerge from a confused man.....

Kenyan president in fools paradise, I may say.

Under the PDP-led government could Kenya have had the slightest thought defying Nigerian economy that was ranked among the top twenty economies in the world?Today,APC-led government has made Nigeria a cheap broth for minion nations' spit.

It's on that emboldened premise that Ruso is using to talk down on Nigerians!

Just imagine the level of backwardness the demonic party and its agents have reduced the country to; yet, the plague will not shut his amala mouth and sit his old scrotum in a place without throwing jab to other African nation thinking Nigeria is still where it used to be! grin
