Buy bicycle that won't consume fuel. Having a car is a luxury . How much was minimum wage when the price of fuel in those regime was low, how much is dollar to naira exchange rate?

I really don't know why the opposition and their supporters in Nigeria remain stagnant in their narrations.

Are the price of things across the globe remain the same for decades now. They should stop arguing slow jare
Pls keep quiet. Let's be realistic for once
Then 18,000 minimum wage
18000-4500=13500
But now
70,000 minimum wage
70,000-61,500=8,500
Tinubu boy. APC see it there.

Why are you not also showing us the Minimum Wage?

You should be fair by also putting the minimum wage alongside the price of fuel

And Nigeria didn't start in 1999.

Why are we not seeing how much it cost under Abdulsalam, Abacha, Shonekan, IBB, Buhari, Shagari, Obasanjo, Muritala etc
... minimum wage in 2015 is 30,000 and fuel is 89naira..now minum wage is 70000 and fuel is 1300..oya make it make sence oga

The way you defend everything. May God Help Us All

helinues:
Even with your money, it's when the product is available you can buy it. The scarcity during GEJ made people to buy litres of fuel higher than your calculations.

Obasanjo era (1999–2007)
•Minimum wage: ~₦5,500
•Fuel (50L): ₦3,750
•Impact: ~68% of one month’s minimum wage
✅ A minimum-wage earner could still fill a tank and have some balance left.

Yar’Adua era (2007–2010)
•Minimum wage: ~₦7,500
•Fuel (50L): ₦3,250
•Impact: ~43% of monthly wage
✅ Fuel was relatively affordable compared to income.

Jonathan era (2010–2015)
•Minimum wage: ~₦18,000 (introduced in 2011)
•Fuel (50L): ₦4,350
•Impact: ~24% of monthly wage
✅ This was the best period in terms of affordability.

Buhari era (2015–2023)
•Minimum wage: ₦30,000 (from 2019)
•Fuel (50L): ₦11,900
•Impact: ~40% of monthly wage
⚠️ Fuel takes a much larger share of income; pressure rises.

Tinubu era (2023–now)
•Minimum wage: ₦30,000 (unchanged so far)
•Fuel (50L): ₦61,350
•Impact: Over 200% of monthly wage
❌ A minimum-wage earner cannot afford one full tank with a monthly salary.

This shows a severe collapse in purchasing power, not just higher fuel prices.

Minimum wage during GEJ time could afford you 206 liters of petrol

Minimum wage now under Tinubu can only afford you 70 liters of petrol.

Tinubu's policies inflicted extreme hardship

That's past tense. Jonathan should have stood his ground like Tinubu has done and we are hating him for. You will be surprised in years to come when the opposition will affirm that Tinubu has done the right thing with the subsidies removal in fuel electricity and fx.

Because it is Tinubu, it's ok, but for Jonathan it iwas wrong.

You want everything free, very cheap or subsidised heavily and even zero tax obligation for life.

Whereas the "desirable life" in the developed nations Nigerians wish to 'Japa' to is underpinned by the concept of everyone, not government alone, paying their way and doing their bit.

If you know anyone in Britain or Germany today, why not call them so they reveal how much of their salary they pay in taxes and bills that goes towards the good infrastructure and safe/secure society they live in?

Previous Government before PBAT were simply weaponising poverty to subdue Nigeria so you are distracted from noting their failure and looting. They were maintaining many Nigerians at a standard lower than even pets enjoy in developed nation.

They give you enough, using numerous subsidies, to eat, transport yourselves around, have sex and procreate, parade substandard degrees that won't ever raise Nigerian civil engineers who can deliver fourth mainland bridge start to finish.

Their ploy is simple. Give Nigerians, unaware of what a fulfilled life should be, everything else that helps them attain the existential basics thus preventing the masses from realising others have it much better elsewhere.

If you want a Nigeria where people can live dignified lives equivalent to that citizens of developed nations enjoy then you will know Tinubu is the real deal as a leader focused on teaching Nigerians how to fish rather than giving them fish.
There's absolutely no basis for the comparison the difference in the minimum wage in western countries and that of nigeria is extremely very huge workers there don't even spend their hard earned money to buy fuel for generators like we have here in nigeria, no inflation or substandard healthcare over there.

In Britain and Germany they have a very high salary and food is relatively cheap, one can't feed well with Nigeria minimum wage of 70k so stop comparing light and darkness

Even bride price for igbo land don increase over time.

If his beloved candidate had removed the subsidy as he also promised to, would Rufai be buying at GEJ's price.
Instead of instigating unnecessary tension and resentment against the incumbent, he should used his platform to educate the masses on what led to where we are and make a constructive contribution.

God bless Nigeria!

Even if we vote against Tinubu, he can rig himself into power again. He did it before.

If our vote doesn't count, what then is the power of the masses?

A man who rigged himself into power can not conduct a free and fair election.
Where is Buhari today, he should go ahead inflicting pains to Nigerians, cost of everything has increased, rent, feeding, transportations, education, electricity and it became worse, virtually everything.

Which health care are you talking about when cost of drugs are very expensive and many patients are dying off, non existing creditcorp and few individuals were chosing in Nelfund for the pilot phase but it has already fizzled out. Terribly disheartening... To travel now you have to think twice if you have to buy any litre and picking random people on the road is not an option cos it may not end well one day. Unfortunately inflation has become the norm especially with the disaster that started 11 yrs ago, they have started gathering cloud again to deceive Nigerians as if they are the only ones that are capable of running the affairs of this country .

I repeat
It took EGYPT 2yrs and 4months to add 25,000MW to their power generation.
Tinubu has spent 2yrs and 11months as President, how many megawatts has been added to the national grid?
Or if they are still building it, can u tell where and show the picture or video of progress so far?
During the campaign period to 2023 election when Obi went to Egypt to study their power generation, there is nothing u guys didn't say to him. You even went as far as lying to Nigerians that Buhari has already sign deal with same Siemens that built the one of Egypt. U started showing us audio transformers
I ask you again where is the Siemens deal?
where are those transformers?
Are u guys not tired of deceiving your fellow Nigerians with lies and propagandas because of your selfish interest?
Where is the patriotism?
Where is the love for the country?

Tinubu told Nigerians that removing subsidies in every sector will solve our problems
Almost 3yrs counting and there is no hope in sight
We pay for electricity at a very high price and still don't get it
We can no longer afford fuel to run generators
You removed subsidies, one will expect okay, let's just fix electricity issue within this 4yrs so we can at least relieve the pains the citizens are going through
But no, he is telling us if don't see his achievement, we should go and wear eye glasses
What exactly are u guys defending?
How much are they paying u to watch and defend them as they destroy this country ?
All this long brilliant write up for someone whose reasoning is synonymous with that nonentity that was appointed as the official hypegoat of Edo State governor
