The viral video where members of Operation Dudula (an anti-immigration organisation and registered political party) confronted a Ghanaian man who had allegedly overstayed his visit to South Africa has caused a diplomatic row between the two countries.

Here's why I think the Ghanaian government has a weak case:

1. Their citizen has potentially committed a crime in SA by flouting immigration rules - he's allegedly now living and working in SA on an expired tourist visa.

2. Operation Dudula did not assault the Ghanaian, they simply lectured him on their anti-immigration stance.

3. The South African government has committed to investigate the matter, which would compel it to either arrest or deport the Ghanaian national should he infact be an illegal alien.

4. South Africa can request Ghana for reasons why her citizens resort to illegal migration (i.e. find the country uninhabitable).

Your thoughts?
You're lying and you know it, it makes you looks so wicked and not different from those carrying out xenophobic attacks on innocent. Most of videos circulating online was not about staying illegally or not, they clearly stated that they don't want black African countries in Thier country, because they feel insecure at the presence of people from other countries. Sensible people has always mentioned that the attacks on Nigeria has not only been because of (illegal settlements or drugs) it is mixed with dark hatred for follow African brothers. I wonder why they don't go about checking white foreigners if Thier papers are complete.

I advice you to purge your wicked heart of hate, it's horrible!

Learn the meaning of xenophobia. I'm talking about illegal aliens and not documented African migrants which I don't have a problem with for reasons we can discuss.

Has your illegal South African's mental health been checked. Can't imagine moving from SA to Nigeria for a better life😂 He was most probably deceived into moving there and then found himself stranded. I've spoken to Nigerians before who described the country as the best thing since sliced bread unaware I know the
Stay there and be fooling yourself ..you people actually think there are not many Nigerians living a far better life than south Africans....the expensive life Nija boys dey live una south Africans no fit put body only if una won die

Lmao is that the SANs that were asking for the Ghanaian to leave their country? cheesy
Omooorrrr Nigerians fine sha coz wtf is that creature ? cheesy
Meanwhile to be very frank, SANs have every right to ask other Africans to go back home and hold their governments accountable. It's a shame that instead of fixing our various African countries, we resorted to fleeing to countries where citizens of those countries put their boots on ground and got the country working.

Take for instance, Nigeria has a population of over 200 million, our oppressors aren't even upto 100k but we can't unite and hold them tight to demand accountability, demand for a working Nigeria, we'd prefer we sell our ancestral lands and use the money to flee from Nigeria, that's crazy, absurd and an act of cowardice.
What gives SANs every right to tell them that? Just because such person is a SAN or because as a SAN, he or she's holding position of authority in the government most especially the one related to immigration?

Policing a community is everybody's work, so long they will hand them over to the appropriate authority. (the ones without residence permit, illegally in SA) then they are doing a good work.

Next time you see a criminals in your community, don't bother to do anything because you are not a police till they become a monster that takes you out easily.

Go back home and fix your damn Country cousin.

The question is are the Americans, Canadians and co you mentioned in South Africa because their respective countries are impoverished?
Are they in SA seeking menial jobs? I guess you already have the answers.

You want to compare someone who is there to impact their economy with someone who sold off everything to afford the next flight to SA and start a life of uncertainty?

You guys think if other African countries are working as SA is, other Africans will migrate in their large numbers to land of uncertainty??

It is not your job if you are not occupying any position with regard to immigration. Don't make your country more lawless than this.

(the ones without residence permit, illegally in SA) then they are doing a good work.
Your people are disgracing themselves carrying sticks, going up and down saying all black immigrants are not welcomed. They're destroying shops, properties and injuring all immigrants they come across irrespective of their legal status. And your government, incompetent and guilty too

Next time you see a criminals in your community, don't bother to do anything because you are not a police till they become a monster that takes you out easily.
They're not criminals, simple. Overstaying their visas doesn't make them criminals but illegal, understand the difference. But your rampaging brothers and sisters don't care about legal status, they just needed to drink the blood of immigrants.
And when you see a real criminal, hand him over to the authority, you don't have any right to become laws yourself and start carrying out jungle justice

Go back home and fix your damn Country cousin.
I'm home. My country is good, has lots of potential. Ask your government how much her corporations operating in Nigeria are repatriating home annually.
Those Nigerians who are fleeing to your country, I don't know what fascinate them about your country. I stayed back here, started from the scratch and today, I'm better than most South Africans.
Chinese, Lebanese, Indians, South Africans are all making it big in Nigeria, may be some Nigerians don't get it. Something is wrong with their brains rather than with Nigeria as a country.
Those Nigerians would hustle and acquire assets and money in Nigeria. They would just decide to dispose it and gather huge amounts of money and used it to process visa to some countries as useless as South Africa

It's a Shame! See how they ganged up on the poor man, this is an harassment, for non-state actors to emerge from nowhere and start intimidating immigrants in their countries.

I would understand this if it were to be done by SA law enforcement agents.

Stop being silly. They all went there to pursue business interests and if the opportunities in their countries were superior why didn't they stay back too? Humans migrate, it is an activity that is as old as humanity.

Of all human races on God's green earth 🌎 it is Sauth Africans that hate blacks the most, ironically they're even more black charcoal skinned than Sudanese.

Once they see a foreigner doing well in his business they start the hatred mongering and mob lynching.....they're so useless their women prefer foreigners who use them as com dumpsters to their own men.

Nigeria is the one feeding that entire nations communication industry and many others like the so called ShopRite.....it is a fact that the amount of money they generate and export from the shores of Nigeria in 1 year alone, it will take them 10 years to get that amount in their zeno_fobe Republic.

My hatred doubled for that country when I watched how they chased a Nigerian to the top of a skyscraper and threw him down from the roof, he splattered like an egg on concrete, that's the kind of savages we are dealing with.

They prefer to import Hamas terrorists into their country as against their fellow Africans. Yeye dey smell.

SA healthcare facilities are free for citizens and undocumented immigrants don't qualify. So if you can't show proof you're legal Dudula has taken it upon themselves to turn you away - it's tax payers money. If I come to Nigeria I have to pay for everything as a foreigner - true or false?
Stop lieing to the people Randdigital. Dudula is chasing out ALL foreigners. Legal or Illegal.

They misintepret the phrase in their consititution that states "the people shall govern". They don't understand that it is through "representation" so the people feel they can take laws into their hands.

They are simply seeking attention from their government when the election cycle comes around and need a gimmick and Xenphobic attacks is the usual go to.

South Africa has multinational companies, have you not noticed? Why would we leave SA to go live in a less developed country? All of Africa is less developed than SA and therefore not attractive to us.

If you chase us out, we leave with our DSTVs, Stanbic, Shoprite, MTN, etc.
When ShopRite left it was easily occupied and taken over by indegeneous company...no one feels their impact same will happen if others leave ...you can only threaten Countries like Ghana, Kenya Lesotho etc not Nigeria....we don't care ...ask lever brothers, Dunlop etc ...who cares if they stay or leave

This ain't the insult you think it is sadly. South Africans do indeed travel.. we just dont suffer from "japa syndrome" or desperate to be in other people's countries like you do.. This is the major difference.. your own all-black government is opressing you. So where do you get the audacity to call out the supposed "opression" of others, while currently experiencing your own?

Thank you for this honesty, I'll further give you an example.. small mining communities around SA are currently under siege from armed illegal miners from neighboring Zim, Mozambique and Lesotho, the situation got so bad to the point that people from those communities had to resort to sleeping in a community hall because of bring driven out by these terrorists, imagine being driven out from your home, entire families, to sleep in a hall because of illegal foreigners.. tell me if its this fair.. people are pointing fingers and are gaslighting the reasons South Africans are this fed up.
