A viral video making rounds on X has stirred condemnation and raised public health concerns after a dispatch rider was seen eating from a customer’s small chops order before completing the delivery

In the clip, the rider appeared to open the package mid-transit and consume part of the contents, an act many have described as unprofessional and unsafe.

He had dropped the small boxes of the snacks by the roadside and proceeded to open each boxes one after the other, and eating from them.

Netizens have described the act as of moral failure.

One netizen wrote: “I remember one time I gave my bike man a bag of rice to go and mill it for me in a rice milling factory. Little did he know that the factory kept records of the amount of “mudus” they mill for customers for accountability and record-keeping.

When he brought it back home, I decided to measure it myself to know whether the rice had viable seeds or not. I measured 80 mudus early on and expected it to have at least 35 mudus after milling and chaff removal but this man brought 30 measures.

That’s how I went to the factory with him and asked personally if what I measured was the same thing as theirs and they told me they recorded 39 “mudus”.

Before I knew it the bike man started apologising to me, kneeling, that he was the one who fetched it to give it to his wife. That he has no food in his house (a big lie). And this man knows quite well that anytime I send him on such errands, I usually fetch him some.

I followed him to his house and collected my rice and stopped sending him errands again.

Trust Nigerians, at your own peril.”

1. His total lack of concern or shame about being seen doing this, in the open.
2. Fingers dipped into people’s food & packs placed carelessly on the ground. The is a huge public health risk.
3. Not poverty/hunger. It’s lack of conscience, moral failing.”

It is not a skit. Look at his demeanor. Look at him closely .....his mind is only on the food. If it was skit he would have divided concentration. That's how you know what is skit or not.

You can't have those elderly men sitting behind; you doing the video and never for once calling him out vocally.
Not done anywhere.
