But what I don't understand about this case is does the guy have personal issues with the army men? Hope this is not a case of girlfriend. I don't understand why they had to break into his house.

There was no robbery incident. The residents of the estate say no robbery happened when the soldiers came.

Why the outrage?
By this time last week, the family members were reading about insecurities in the country and were probably indifferent. Nigeria happened to them indeed.
One can only laugh at the " see no evil, hear no evil crew". E go reach everybody turn. It is a matter of time.

According to eye witnesses there were no robbery incident happening around that area. Furthermore, the soldiers came through their backyard fence instead of the estate gate, the guy was in his room and they went in there and shot him through the door.
If you watch the video and see where they came from and how they went to his room door and shot him you will immediately realise that the army are lying about what happened and that this was a possible assassination operation.

He was killed by soldiers who should not be out on the streets. Law enforcement and maintaining order is for the police. It would be hard to prove operational negligence. Sad one for his family.

Same thing was said of Buhari about corruption. Were there not reports of corruption during his administration? It's the system that needs change. Buhari wasn't the only one running Nigeria then and couldn't be everywhere. You need to tune done your expectations from politicians to avoid disappointment.

Just in case people have forgotten, this is the same army whose chief (Taoreed Lagbaja) died in a foreign hospital in late 2024 - only for the army to strongly deny the report, calling it fake news. In the end, were the reports true or false?

This is the same army that dismissed widespread news of a coup plot in late 2025. The official line was that the soldiers involved in the matter were being held for 'indiscipline' and 'breach of regulations'. Is that the story today?

This is the same army whose personnel shot and killed 16 year old Ismaila Mohammed in his own home during 'enforcement' of a 'curfew' in mid 2024. The army's press release on the incident called it 'The death of a protester'. A boy shot and killed in his own home?

We could go on and on. The stories are many.

We will all see where this 'investigation' goes.

Exactly o..this is what everyone is suspecting. Maybe it’s a girlfriend issue and the dumb soldiers went to kill the boy in his home. These uniform people are getting out of hand,first it was this one then the police in Delta that killed in broad day.
