Kemetian:That is what a government is also for. To plan for such exigencies. Is it a sin that we cannot produce our own fertilizer from the same oil and gas we have. So you can protect your elected leaders all you like and defend failure but you will still spend more of your hard earned money on basics and get poorer in the process. Wars are a part of humanity and have existed since the creation of the world and wars in the middle east have occured with such predictable regularity that every regime has experienced the benefits of high energy prices including this one. Ask them what they are using the excess, the receipts above the budget rate for. |

| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by razzydoo(m): 8:57pm On Apr 26 |
Anywhere Yam occurs in the equation, substitute for bread. Yam and egg becomes bread and egg, yam and beans = bread and beans😋...and so on. |
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Azazyel: 9:31pm On Apr 26 |
I hardly eat yam sef. Potatoes and cocoyam are enough for me. Once people shift their attention from yams, you'll see how the price would drop like magic |

Kemetian:Every incompetence must be blamed on Strait of Hormuz now That's how some clowns blamed rising cost of bread on the war in Ukraine then It seems Dangote fertilizers and Eleme Petrochemical plants are no longer working since we're now hiding under Iran war for rise in food prices Dummies everywhere |
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Kukutente23: 7:25am On Apr 27 |
Lithiumite:May God deliver you from the spirit of suffering So you're happy that yam is out of your reach DND001 you can only afford potato Same way you were in another thread telling people to come and learn how to manage suffering Bro this one no be life you dey live so |
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Kukutente23: 7:28am On Apr 27 |
Lithiumite:Lol So how come Nigeria has the lowest life expectancy rate in the world and the West with their GMO have the highest Stop thinking like a cave man Tell your political god to build storage plants so yam can be available all year round That's what serious govts do not give excuse for incompetence |
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Truvelisback(m): 10:16am On Apr 27 |
We haven't seen the season 2 of Tinubu yet. Wait till 2027.
|
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Lithiumite: 11:39am On Apr 27 |
Kukutente23:Your state govts should do that too because they are the closest to the farmers, your state can equally grow and store enough yams and sell to the rest of us.....whats your gov doing. |
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Lithiumite: 11:42am On Apr 27 |
Kukutente23:So tinubu should come and plant yams for you, other food prices are coming down but tou insist its yam you want,no one is stopping you. |
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Caaz: 12:27pm On Apr 27 |

| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Kukutente23: 3:54pm On Apr 27 |
Lithiumite:Oh suddenly the gov is now responsible for food security? But Tinubu did not blink twice before removing a gov from seat. That shows that he sees his office and powers as superior to that of a gov so only a dummy will be asking those with lesser powers to take over the responsibilities of a higher power This nonsense of shifting presidential responsibilities to govs started under APC with their data boys and it's now getting ridiculous |
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Lithiumite: 4:05pm On Apr 27 |
Kukutente23:Show me anywhere in Nigeria the federal govt owns any land......where are the lands domiciled? What exactly are the responsibilities of a gov or is it only going to Abuja at month end to receive allocations and pay salaries? Agric is on the concurrent list and all the fg can do is make policies while its the sub nationals that can engage in the physical part......the fg has lost billions to trillions of naira to agric initiatives such as anchor borrowers,Bank of agric,Research etc with nothing to show for it.....there is no way we can be self sufficient in food if the sub nationals themselves arent ambitious enough in that regard. |
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Kukutente23: 5:00pm On Apr 27 |
Lithiumite:What's this dude saying Has Tinubu every planted yams in his life? We're talking about storage and availability all year round this dude is talking about planting Na wa o |
| Re: Yam Prices Rise In Lagos, Consumers Lament by Kukutente23: 5:08pm On Apr 27 |
Lithiumite:Federal govt owns lands in every state of the Federation Go back to school and learn Where did you get your own idea that the FG is only to make policies? Where did you learn your own govt that states are implementing units for federal policies? That the Federal govt is corrupt and inefficient does not mean the state should take over its responsibilities since even the state can be corrupt or is more corrupt in most cases. All of Nigeria's food reserve are with the FG. If the FG has failed to manage our reserves you can't blame to state for that Besides, do you know the kind of capital required to research into strategic storage and build it? How many states can afford it? Other countries are self-sufficient in food without crying to sub-nationals. Only zombies reason that way |
