BabatundeGPD:
Hello house, my remark came back with no improvement, I was advice to take ielts and get 8 overall. I don't think ielts is fair is marking and may be too strict. So mayb celpip, but am on low budget and I don't believe in write another English exam, because their is no guarantee to max all, and wat if the celpip is low to the 7.5 ielts then money wasted. So considering French, I did a little French in sch as an international relations student since 2016, I have not read or study any French. But now I believe with YouTube videos I can build my self, and take a month physical class a d write the exam. I don't really know wat mark will qualify me for the French category but I believe the French grade will add to my crs plus ielts 7.5, and some pnp will favour French. My crs is currently at 35something will get d exact figure later. Pls I need advice and guidance
Practice writing like a beginner.
CRS of "35somthing", you will need to ace both English language test and French.

Mr Babatunde with all due respect if your writing here is indicative of your prowess one can see where Pearson is coming from. You also got something else coming if you think a few YouTube videos and a month of classes would get you to CLB7 in TEF or TCF, nevertheless I admire your confidence.

I really appreciate this post. Please where did you learn your French?

Ghaliz:
Ma'am you'd benefit more by asking your questions openly no matter how ridiculous you think it is so that people with no financial incentive or stake in the matter can give you competent advice. Taking it offline on an anonymous site is asking for a world of trouble in my opinion.

Regardless let me offer some rudimentary guide through the entire process using mine as a quick example.

For the Federal Skilled Worker programme.
You typically need a degree, at least a year experience that fits a National Occupational Classification basically a list of professions they're looking for whose duties which must largely match the duties you performed during your employment.

For me I had a Master degree and previous employments, my last job I quit the month I started learning French full time, during the time I got my degree evaluated (literally a sheet of paper confirming your degree is equivalent to a Canadian one), I registered and took an English language test. After a year of learning French and a 2.5 Months exam prep, I wrote TCF (French IELTS for context) and thankfully passed.

I got a reference from one of my previous employers where I worked for only 2 years, I used this because it matched largely with a NOC. I didn't include my other employers because some were over a decade, I was freelance for a while I found out documenting freelance work or self employment is not quite easy neither is it straightforward, the business must be registered, you must present evidence of full time work 1560 hrs a year, references from your client, sometimes audited financial statements of your company and tax documents. I found it easier to just roll with an employer.

I waited to enter the pool because I was gathering documents, calculating how much is needed, selling property, documenting the sale, took a few trips to the land registry

I got into the pool, got an ITA in a French draw barely 4 days after. I gathered all my documents, it's pretty straightforward the system provides a checklist of documents you require. Whenever there are extenuating circumstances or the documents don't tell the full story attach a letter of explanation.

Pre-application

Familiarise yourself with the process, YouTube, ChatGPT is great help. You'd be an expert in no time, it is impossible to subcontract this process.

What you shouldn't do is pay for help, you're going to create a perverse incentive system where things are presented in an opaque, hard to understand manner to keep the gravy train moving.

I learnt my French at Alliance Française Lagos. There's a main branch on Osborne Rd in Ikoyi, there's a mainland branch at Ikeja GRA opposite the State Police Command Hq.

ACCA RQF LEVEL 4. Faster than BCS. Exam is on-demand, that is; can be taken at anytime you're ready. You can walk in today and be done with it but BCS, you will have to wait for exam time.

Good afternoon everyone,

I would like to confirm how long it takes to hear back from IRCC after submitting ADR. I submitted my ADR on the 30th of March and till today, it is still showing we are reviewing the additional documents provided. Please is this normal because I am very worried.

Hi everyone. I have an Express Entry profile created last year. IELTS: L: 8.5 S: 7.0, R: 7.0 W:7.0 CRS Score: 450. I created Expression of Interest profiles on some provinces website. It's been silence since then.

My IRCC profile says Provincial Nomination Programme Not Met. I'd like to know if I'm doing anything wrong, and if this has hindered me from getting PNP.

Cheers. smiley
