Ladda Launches Savings Platform to Help Nigerians Build Discipline and Earn Up to 20% Annually

A new digital savings platform, Ladda, has been introduced to the Nigerian market with a clear
objective: to help individuals develop consistent saving habits while earning competitive returns.

At a time when many Nigerians are seeking practical ways to improve their financial stability,

Ladda is built around a simple insight, the challenge is often not just about income, but about
discipline and structured financial growth.

The platform allows users to begin saving from as low as ₦1,000, while offering up to 20%
annual returns on savings. This positions it among the higher-yield options currently available to
everyday savers.

Speaking on the initiative, the company emphasized the importance of consistency in personal
finance.

According to Ladda, small but regular savings can accumulate significantly over time, especially when paired with returns and proper financial guidance.

Beyond savings, the platform also provides users with:

A free financial literacy masterclass, structured to guide users through money management and investing

Access to a community of like-minded individuals focused on growth and accountability

Curated stock market insights, removing the need for expensive external courses or paid advisory services

Ladda is also encouraging Nigerians to rethink everyday spending habits, noting that redirecting small weekly expenses into savings can lead to meaningful financial progress over time
.
With increasing awareness around wealth-building and financial independence, platforms like
Ladda are positioning themselves as tools to bridge the gap between intention and action.

Interested individuals can download the Ladda app to begin their savings journey and take advantage of the available resources.

Interesting.

I'm not aware of any commercial bank in Nigeria today that offers 20% interest on basic savings. Not even Opay.

I'm not saying anything is wrong with this company o, but you might want to ask them questions about why they're able to offer such high interest before you deposit your life savings.

I'm sure they have perfectly legitimate answers, but ask first.

Is this app powered by a microfinance bank? Is it licenced by CBN to operate in that capacity of collecting money from the general public? What kind of license did it obtain from CBN? Who are the directors? Is investors fund insured with NDIC ? What happens to public fund if the business folds up ? Is Security and exchange commission of aware of this app and the board of directors?
Did nairaland investigate all theses before granting the advert ?

All na English….. “up to 20%” na very manipulative phrase… when u carry your money there.. u will realize they won’t give you more than 14% to 15% while the 20% is reserved for those with bigger cash and. Longer saving tenor

Some recognised and approved fintech does, PalmPay will gives you 19% or more annually.

Bamboo gives up to 17% annually, cowry gives almost the same rate.

So if Ladda promise 20% it's achievable

PalmPay is more than 10 years in Nigeria

Great. That means I was being pessimistic, because the last treasury bill I bought was like 19%. I assumed banks savings interest rates are usually lower than treasury bills yield.

Anyway, it's good to know savings rates are as high as those you quoted.

Ladda, make una no vex o.

No it won’t

Ladiea is not the only fintech platform offering 20%

Fair money is doing that

The same with Palm pay and the rest

That is why they are fintech and they are regulated by SEC so you have nothing to worry about

The best thing to do is to scale this information up to CBN and find out if they're registered with CBN.

If the reply is no, they're new set of criminals in town.

Alright, but why not backed by NDIC?

Also, will there be withholding tax on the interest gained?

God bless you sir for these intelligent questions. Because 20% interest per annum is too enticing to be genuine. Even Almighty Opay offers just 9% per annum. And that's currently one of the highest in the country, amongst the legitimate ones
