TEYA:You are the lazy ones here, all you know is hopping from one country to another leeching of the sweat and hard work of other men, because you can't get your own country to be of standard. Go apply for a Canadian Visa and leave me alone |

Only thing you guys know how to do is sit idly all day long, drinking Umqombothi. You guys better get serious with your lives! |

TEYA:There is a difference between an institutional culture and a hustle culture. An institutional culture is where citizens build systems that force governments to work, enforce laws, protect infrastructure, and maintain accountability. People organise, vote strategically, challenge leadership, and demand service delivery. Over time, those systems create stability and opportunity inside a country. A hustle culture, on the other hand, survives by moving toward wherever functioning systems already exist. It depends on host economies rather than building strong institutions at home. That kind of mobility is understandable...but it also means remaining dependent on the political and economic stability created elsewhere. One culture produces leverage. The other operates at the mercy of whoever is hosting it. Migration itself is not wrong. People move everywhere in the world. But when migration becomes the main economic strategy instead of institution-building at home, tensions are inevitable...especially in countries already facing unemployment, inequality, and infrastructure pressure. Why are strong institutions not being built across the continent at the same pace as migration toward the few places where they already exist? Now that's the conversation people like you avoid everytime ![]() |

| Re: 'Fix Your Countries': Video That Has Sparked Ghana-SA Diplomatic Row - PICTURES by TEYA: 7:59pm On Apr 27 |
Lionessza6:Migration is not our main economic strategy in Nigeria. I promise you that if a tenth of the inhabitants of Lagos should migrate to south Africa, the country's citizens will not even have tears to shed. |

IronGalaxy:The Whites left the city center by the 90's citing the same reasons you are enumerating. They left it for you guys and the place became dilapidated, crime ridden, buildings abandoned, unproductive and property values significantly reduced. When you saw the whites running up north, your BEE buddies followed suite right behind them leaving those same downtown areas. In come the migrants flocking to cheap areas to find accommodation/make a living and viola you have a large set of people hurdled in one area for safety which is why 50% of migrants reside in Gauteng and predominantly in those CBD's Is this any different from Somali or Ethiopia town in Kenya Just admit you people are just a bunch of hateful Africans looking for excuses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Ns2gT-ACO0 IronGalaxy:Point 1. Your lived experiences are anecdotal and do not say anything about anything. Case in point, just because 3 members of your family die of HIV does not give me any heads up on the statistical data HIV positive people in South Africa. Point 2. Take that "patriotic" energy you people have and head to cape town where a large contingent of Germans are pricing you out of your inheritance in the cape. for the rest of anyone else who wants to know more, please watch the attached video below it will reiterate what I have been saying for an uncountable number of years on nairaland. I am glad I am not the only one who sees through your peoples B.S https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sV-VZ2S77fw&t=3092s |

seppuku:Whether your beloved whites left the city in 90s or the 2000s.. has nothing to do with the fact that the city center was clean when I was frequenting it.. the key word here is "I", me" these are my experiences and you can't deny them, this is a time where us black South Africans had ownership of those streets and they were clean. Our Aunts and Uncles used to go to clubs in areas like Hillbrow and Berea ,those areas are now called "little Lagos" little Kinshasa, Little what or what not, etc.. these are now filthy areas resembling your cities. Its just the truth Seppuku, and I know you don't like the truth or any form of accountability, to you this "hate" or xenophobia,". People from failed states will drag other countries to their level and SA is unfortunately flooded by such.. some people practice open defecation in their respective countries, so what hope does our country have? Point1. Lived experiences are "lived experiences " for a reason.. you can't say they dont say anything because they say what you don't want to hear ..this is classic gaslighting. when people complain of drugs flooding their communities, and they point out the sources of that.. those are the things that are directly affecting them, listen instead of dismissing because it doesn't serve your agenda Point2. The "what about white people" deflection is also played out .. and it shows your glaring lack of understanding of South African spatial realities. Why would a person from a small mining town of Burgersfort or Rustenburg terrorized by Mozambicans and Zimbabwean illegal miners rush to Clifton, Cape Town to confront Germans pricing people out of properties when the immediate threat to that person is loss of life? |

seppuku:So pretentious |
| Re: 'Fix Your Countries': Video That Has Sparked Ghana-SA Diplomatic Row - PICTURES by IronGalaxy: 1:30am On Apr 28 |
seppuku:Shut up.. the issue here was that Nigerians supposedly migrate to other countries because they arent "lazy", which is not true. Stop inserting the word "xenophobia" on every topic on Nairaland, its not only annoying, it's intellectually lazy. |
| Re: 'Fix Your Countries': Video That Has Sparked Ghana-SA Diplomatic Row - PICTURES by seppuku: 1:53am On Apr 28 |
IronGalaxy:But it is a fact Nigerians migrate out of their country because they are not "lazy. They choose to broaden their reach within the global capitalist system rather than sit in the shebeens after pay day shrinking local beer. The other point is that are over 150 million of them still left in Nigerian hustling and grinding on a daily basis. haven't you heard about the city boy movement and Obi Cubana? Shame! |
| Re: 'Fix Your Countries': Video That Has Sparked Ghana-SA Diplomatic Row - PICTURES by seppuku: 2:04am On Apr 28*. Modified: 2:45am On Apr 28 |
IronGalaxy:so the "issue" now is the new residents are not keeping the areas up as clean as you used to. Why would that bother you at this point? You don't traverse there anymore or you are nostalgic about reclaiming your "spaces". The whites occupy camps bay all the same albeit they are on the other end of the wealth spectrumand keep the areas clean but systematically exclude your kind, no toyi toyi's for them, why so reluctant to reclaim those South African spaces as well? You didn't watch the video where you apologist compatriot was demolished did you. The gig is up, You people are not fooling anyone. Stop defending xenophobia. People can see through these excuses. IronGalaxy:I don't see Dudula or March on March raiding any drug dens, gathering intel, apprehending a drug lords etc though instead we see them toyi toying, closing shops down and harassing people for making a daily living in your country legal or illegal. IronGalaxy:Because both situations significantly affect you in different ways and it is clear that you are channeling your energy at that which you deem weaker. Those are acts of cowards not people who have had enough. |
| Re: 'Fix Your Countries': Video That Has Sparked Ghana-SA Diplomatic Row - PICTURES by IronGalaxy: 7:03am On Apr 28 |
seppuku:Complete BS..Nigerians migrate because of desperation, not because they're somehow bestowed with this "industrousness" some nationalities don't posses..You cannot risk drowning in some ocean fleeing your country then claim is for "broadening your reach or horizons" I wasn't born yesterday Seppuku... its sheer desperation.. Nigerians celebrate leaving Nigeria like people who have just prison man, its telling.. Everybody grinds and hustles on a daily basis, its called life, its the same in Burundi, same in Somalia and its the same in the same South Africa where you accuse its populous of just "drinking beer in Shebeens and lying in the sun the whole day" where your countrymen regularly call its people "lazy".The 150 million left grinding and hustling over the there are doing it so they eventually have enough capital to also "japa" outta there, its a vicious circle. |

IronGalaxy:You're a big liar and a very terrible xenophobic one at that. How many percent of the population in South Africa are immigrantshuh?? Is it only black immigrants that commit crimes or flaunt the laws? What to other white immigrants Gods y'all worshipped?? Hugh !?? You can't come to a Nigerian forum and insult our intelligence |
| Re: 'Fix Your Countries': Video That Has Sparked Ghana-SA Diplomatic Row - PICTURES by IronGalaxy: 7:48am On Apr 28 |
seppuku:You thought the complain was only crime? No, grime as well... and a whole myriad of issues, but for now lets stick to the issue of grime.. Tell me this, why is that after metro police removes illegal immigrants vendors from the streets, our cities become clean a week or so until the same people return? What does it tell you? Your people are the ones turning our cities into open markets like you have there in Okeke or whatever, You should South Africans don't want that for their cities, this is not xenophobia, this is common sense.. compare the cleaner parts of Johannesburg, youll see a pattern, the cleaner parts of the city like Marshaltown, is full of big business, varsity students and South Africans, but go further north and its start looking like Lumbubashi or Maiduguri.. Why do you think shacks are mushrooming all over the place? That's because of mass migration my friend, where do you think a dirt poor illegal Malawian who's just crossed the border goes to? He's going to the outskirts of our cities to build himself a new shack or find himself a spot in a hijacked building... You don't see Dudula raiding drug dens? is it? Who told you they don't? Wasn't Nhlalnhla lux doing that ? Xolani of "Sizokuthola" TV show who is now mayor of Ekurhuleni does exactly that.. and when I told you months ago that 98% of the criminals he nabs in those raids were Nigerians, you scoffed at it as just "propaganda" because you couldn't play your overplayed xeno card.. Cape Town is a city that is pricing out ordinary South Africans of all races.. this a hallmark of touristy cities all over the world.. People are complaining of this, but again understand nucance and context here, A South African that is looking to live in Camps Bay in the first place..is well to do South African.. professionals, businesses men.. etc.. you're expect this person to do what exactly? People complain of what affects them directly..the issue here is proximity not selective outrage. If you take a trip to the slums of Phillipi in the same Cape Town, people will complain of menial jobs jobs being taken away from them because illegals are willing to work for next to nothing.. therefore pricing them out..why would this profile of a person care that a South Africa professional is being priced out Camps bay by a German? I trust that you will still come out labeling everything I've raised here as just "xenophobia" because you refuse to look past yourself and your insatiable need to be seen as victim. |

iceking4:Are you even intelligent" ? Lets start there.. can you even read? Tell me, what's "xenophobic" with telling you the truth? Where did I say only black immigrants commit crimes? And what does the percentage of immigrants have tk do with the fact, that they do infact commit crimes? Can our government track thr illegal ones after the commit thos crimes? Do you think your mafia group "the " is here legally? Mass migration has exacerbated the crime situation in SA..deny it all you want don't care
