Which team you dey support first. ? I want to know first.

The match was between the two best teams in the whole world currently.

No English or Spanish or Italian club can beat any of these two (PSG and Bayern) team on a normal day with their current level of form.
Mam city can try well

But Arsenal already defeated Bayern this season now.

What precisely is the usefulness of attacking with porous defense. The commentators was counting the minute of the goals which was on average of 9 mins
Lol. Kompany said something after the match they lost to Arsenal, that at stage of the competition, he's not bothered. That he'll only be bothered at an advanced stage when the stakes are high.

PSG and Athletico Madrid made it to the round of 16 via playoffs. That means they were poor during the preliminary stage...but now Dem dey hot.

If they met the same teams who beat them in the previous round in the quarter or semi final, sorry is their name. Abi no be so?

As a matter of fact, Kompany said he wants to play Arsenal again.
He said: "we don't want to be the best team in November." Lol.

Arsenal should just allow ATM to go through and spare themselves that humiliation.
Am not an Arsenal fan but bro, humiliation is part of football. Tell me that club that hasn’t been humiliated before including almighty Brasil has at their own home soil in front of their fans. Humiliation is part of football and every clubs and teams have been humiliated so it’s not a new thing

Off the top of your head, do you remember who topped the table of the league phase last season? That's how irrelevant it can be if you don't win the finals. Which is very possible. Everyone remembers PSG got into the knockouts through the playoffs but very few remembers Liverpool were the best team during the league phase. As Burna Boy said, if you no succeed e go be like say you no try, you go explain tire, NO EVIDENCE. There's only one evidence of success for a champions league campaign. That's being crowned champion, every other thing na side attraction.
Timo, i understand your positional analysis. You and White, the other guy.

Personally, I'm a Liverpool fan. But, you see, you don't downplay someone's efforts just to "feel good", just to drive home your points.

At least, appreciate them. Don't ignore or disregard the fact that Arsenal are a good team; it's just that they have dropped form massively.

No doubt, when the season newly started till late January the Gunners were in superb form. True or false?

So, if we see truth, make we talk am.

If you judge football results by stats then you don't watch football at all. Go and check the stats of Inter vs Barca UCL final, and Chelsea vs Bayern UCL final.
I watched the match and I can boldy say it.
Bayern will definitely offset the one goal deficit, outplay and outclass PSG in every area of the second leg.

Easier said. The problem is that PSG is a free attacking side. They are side that you will find hard to defend against. Unless bayern wana score and play total defence and park bus, they will collect. Na who score pass between both of them go eventually win. Also, dont forget that PSG were leading 5-2 before bayern responded with 2 goals. A team that could score Bayern 5 aren't joking.

Guy PSG narrowly escaped this first leg.

Assume they gave upto additional 7 minutes, Bayern would have equalized.

Though any team can win whether home or away. But Bayern is more likely to win the second leg.

Tor thats better. PSG and Bayern Strength isnt their defence, but attackers and midfielders. Thats why anyone can win it. I am not really rooting for any of em cos the game is a tight one.

True...they were in form. But that's not how races are ultimately judged...no? Starting well and not finishing well has no prizes. Do you hear anyone still giving Liverpool praises for starting well last season? Please face the reality. If Bayern or Psg fall off in the second leg, there'd equally be bo more praise singing for them despite coming this far. The same way it's going to be for Arsenal or ATM. Not even second place gets credit. That's how these things work.

I think this is ATM's best chance to win the UCL. It can't come any easier.

ATM is the only balanced team of the semi finalists. They have a good defence, midfield and attack. All they have to do is overcome Arsenal and they will defeat any of Bayern or PSG.

But if Arsenal goes through to the final, then Arsenal will be the favorite team to lift the UCL except they press their annual self destruct button.
Una dey sabi talk anyhow for here o

That's not always how it works bro, football ain't mathematics. If arsenal or athletico scores first, it might difficult for any of the two team to equalise or even win. Personally I feel this match is quite a poor display because both teams are unable to defend thier goals.

P.S, Arsenal have not conceded more than two goals in a match for over
3 years now.
He be like dem dey fry chin chin for your head

Man utd still beat arsenal 2-3 for home not too long ago for this season.

Can’t defend their goals? That would be the greatest mistake either team would make. Parking the bus against teams with aggressive attacking push is the biggest recipe for disaster. Go and check Bayern stats so far and show me what happened to every team that tried defending against them. The best way to win teams like that is simply by outscoring them and that was how Arsenal and Chelsea were both able to win Bayern and PSG respectively (in the Club WC)
When Chelsea met them in the UCL, they dropped deep and got punished for it!
You can only defend your lead against teams like these towards the ending of the game (let’s say 75-80+ minutes)
Give them their flowers, that’s exactly how proper football is supposed to be. The game should have been played as the final. It was a beautiful scene.
Again, don’t park the bus against teams like Bayern and PSG! That is, don’t give them too much opportunity to dictate to you because they will mess you up. If Arsenal had chickened out and were playing defensively when they met Bayern, sorry would have been Arteta’s name but surprisingly, Arsenal dominated without giving Bayern that opportunity to dictate the play. All I know is, neither of Arsenal and Madrid is surviving these two teams because defensive football no longer works.

Make we cut cap for Vitinha, the PSG engine room, that guy is currently the world best midfielder since Toni Kroos resigned. Gush dude is so good and that will be a plus to Portugal in the WC if he doesn't get injury.

If your strength is in defence and counterattack, will you still go and attack such team?....... Sorry will be the outcome of such game and it will be in Guinness world records.

The strength of your players determines the tactics you want to play against different opponents, "you are not playing match to make the viewers happy but to win and claim glory". Nobody rewards you playing tikitaka or parking bus but to win game.

Chelsea won its two champion league final against two teams with highly attacking sides, no thanks to their defensive tactics. The same way Morinho of Inter defeated explosive attacking Messi-Barcelona in semi and won champion league from Bayern.
