They need to do better.

welzyj2:
Another concern is this idea of next business day top up reflection- it can be really confusing

Ideally, date of subscription should be what you get value for, but atimes value looks like it starts the day it reflects on your account
Re: Equity Investment. by auschris: 10:07pm On Apr 28
They have a whole 7-8 hours before midnight for the update to reflect.

The ESG and balanced fund are doing well at the moment; I held through their drama for several months.

Wow

At least something nice

GTB was a disappointment with what I saw when they updated....

I wonder why it takes them that long to update, makes no sense...

That loss was massive....it wiped two days gain..... Thursday massive gain + Fridays average gain wiped in one fail swoop

As football lovers are enjoying today's epic semifinals of champions league football. I pleases me to announce that stanbic equity did a sharp 0.98% increase
Re: Equity Investment. by cyrilex202(m): 10:55pm On Apr 28
Honestly it was shocking to see the massive loses yesterday. Apart from zedcrest for now I think every other fund managers have their moments. As it stands now I can't choose between stanbic and gtb

Paramount seems shady to me; whenever the price drops, they won't update the price unit in the app. However, as soon as the price makes a gain, the price unit will reflect right away in the app.
They are trying to dodge huge dividends lol.

I also noticed they are the only ones whose daily % gain drops if you top up at high price.

CS and Zed’s % gain accrues uniformly whether you just topped up today or not but with parsmount, someone might get 1% and another might get 1.5% on same day
Re: Equity Investment. by CSblackpink(m): 6:44am On Apr 29
I might top up my CS aggressively. I can't handle the hide-and-seek game of Paramount.

The current unit of CS is actually attractive for a top up. The unit is about last week Wednesday's own

You can hold on till mid day of the market to see if there will be further dip again

Cool. You might wanna Email or call zedcrest to find out if there’s a workaround for the location constraint. Paramount is still okay though. Their dividend last year was juicy compared to others

Great idea; I will just chill and see what Yakubu might do today.

Standing facility corridor, overnight borrowing, Services fee deduction, ATM maintenance fee deduction, Treasury bills, OMO, High interest rates on loans, loan fees, account maintenance fee.

Nigeria banks can never go broke because they are thoroughly and conservatively managed and controlled by CBN.

Once CBN notices one non-profit making bank ( and that trend continues), they will take over the bank, which is why recapitalization was necessary to quickly filter out banks that don't have the money, either those bank merge with another bank or be sold.

It's a sin for a Nigeria banks not to make profit in Nigeria. This is why Nigeria banking sector is regarded as the most well managed sector in world even banks in the first world doesn't come close. They are only advanced in operational efficiency but when it comes to management from the top. Nigeria banks is number one In the world.

Perfect, Now you understand why real investors praised Otedola smart move when he sold off all stakes in Geregu to fully invest in FIRSTBANK for total control after the fight of supremacy with Otudeko(Owner of Honeywell) over who to control firstbank.
