Omo! They have given data boys a new job to do from their WhatsApp group. You can clearly see that this is coordinated post. It's like you've all realised that you were wasting your time attack Obi while neglecting to promote the acceptability of your principal.

Well what can I say, better late than never, but people are still queuing at the Epinpawa station begging for whatever crumbs is available to eat.
Bitter people have been crying upandan

Your curse doesn't bother me, I am not suffering like you,all the curse wey una dey curse has never and it will not change anything regardless back to sender. It is very easy to identify kids like you on this forum, the post listed what he has done but you are still saying he hasn't done anything. My point was don't blame Tinubu for everything how about your governors? Unfortunately because emotions and childishness you cannot comprehend a short comment.
I won't go back forth with your type we don't belong to the same category.
If he was such a honourable custodian of the affairs of the country why not say Amen that the good Lord administer your affairs like the president has administered the country?

I am extremely tickled you think I'm suffering yet you're the 30K per month APC breathing keyboard, y'all are probably cheaper than a server farm with AI bots

Tinubu has the power of the purse, he has borrowed billions of dollars yet bandits are kidnapping people routinely in Ekiti, Ondo.

He said it in 2014 that if Jonathan cannot guarantee security he should resign, He has lost control of vast swathes of the country, the security apparatus of this country is Federal, he is the chief security officer, you don't require genius level intelligence to know where the buck stops.

Stop offering excuses that offer no single flicker of enlightenment, seek proper employment if you can find one.

I always seem baffled when people myopically criticise the government of President TINUBU to have done nothing,
But I realise they say this because of their delusional mindset

Many of the citizens like you, are always complaining, the time you are suppose to use to improve your life you are complaining and always looking for what to complain on
Oyindamolah:
Yes, roads matter. Infrastructure matters. Development matters. Nobody argues against that. But we also have to be honest: building roads on mountains or commissioning massive projects does not automatically mean the average Nigerian is feeling progress.

A good engineer knows that a structure is only successful when it solves the actual problem of the people using it.

What is the value of a beautiful highway when citizens can barely afford transportation on it? What is the value of prestige roads when businesses are shutting down because of power costs, inflation, and economic pressure? Development is not just about concrete and asphaltβ€”it is about functionality.

The Lagos–Badagry road absolutely deserves attention. It is a major economic corridor and a gateway into Nigeria. But governance should not depend on β€œtag the President and hope.” Systems should work without citizens begging for basic infrastructure.

A nation should not run like a WhatsApp customer care line where people must tag the President before potholes are fixed.

Leadership is not measured only by how many roads are built, but by how sustainably lives are improvedβ€”stable electricity, affordable food, security, jobs, healthcare, and policies that reduce suffering.

No President should be treated like a messiah, because governance is not worship; it is responsibility.

As engineers, we know that even the strongest bridge can fail if the foundation is weak. Nigeria’s challenge is not just roadsβ€”it is systems, accountability, and long-term planning.

So yes, fix the roads. Build more roads. We need them.

But let us not confuse construction with complete governance. A nation is not transformed by projects alone; it is transformed when the people themselves can genuinely feel the difference in their daily lives.

Tinubu, I must say, is trying.
^^^
He isn't.

If he was 'trying' you wouldn't need to raise the very valid questions you ask below:

chipet67:
The real question is, aside from reports and statistics from his spokesmen and national media, what are the people in the grassroots saying? How well have the] felt the impact of these projects?
Was proper needs assessment done before carrying out such projects?

It's just like a chairman of an area without pipe-borne water, electricity, good roads, healthcare centers and standard education, coming to build hotels and shopping malls.
Those things are good, but what is the plan to meet the basic needs of the people?

You are cutting ribbons of elephant projects, while your subjects eat ants.

My brother, some of the things on your list are real like NELFUND, the new minimum wage, tax reform, and clearing the forex backlog. Nobody is denying that government launched plenty programmes.
But make we talk the real thing wey dey happen for ground.

Since Tinubu came in 2023, poverty don jump from 56% to 63% according to World Bank report this April 2026. That means over 140 million Nigerians dey poor now millions more than before. Many people wey dey manage before are now struggling badly.

Petrol wey be around ₦185–250 for May 2023 don jump to over ₦1,200–1,400 now. How many people fit carry that one? Transport cost triple for most people. Market women, okada riders, teachers, everybody dey feel am.

Food prices still dey pain. Even though food inflation don come down small from the 40% peak, rice, beans, garri, yam, everything still cost 2-3 times what they were in 2023. Plenty families don reduce to one meal per day. Some no dey eat meat or fish again. Hunger don enter many houses.

Naira don lose serious value from around ₦460 to one dollar to over ₦1,370 now. Anything wey dem import (food, drugs, spare parts) don become very expensive. That one fuel the inflation.

The government refineries (Port Harcourt, Warri, Kaduna). them still never really work well. Billions spent on rehabilitation but most time them dey shut down. The only big refinery working well na Dangote own (private). So that "refineries activation" claim na just talk.

Minimum wage increased to ₦70,000 yes. But with this kind inflation, the money no get power again. Wetin ₦30,000 fit do in 2022, ₦70,000 no fit do am today. Salary don increase but purchasing power don drop badly.

Stock market dey boom and government revenue don increase that one na true. But the ordinary man for street no dey feel am. The pain of subsidy removal and naira float hit everybody hard, but the cushion (safety nets) no strong enough.

Abeg, listing all the programmes and initiatives no mean say people life don better. When your wife dey cry because she no fit buy food reach, when your children dey miss school because transport too costly, when rent don double all those acronyms no go comfort anybody.

If Tinubu supporters wan show say him don do well, make dem show us clear evidence say the average family dey better today than May 2023. Not press release. Not "we launched this".

The suffering dey real for most Nigerians right now. Poverty don increase, hunger don increase. Na the truth.
I agree that the impact of these reforms on the lower middle class and those at the bottom rung of the ladder has been terrible. The question is WHY?

Personally, I do not think Tinubu should be voted out because most of the people vying for the position today either also have life time ambitions to fulfill or they are opportunists trying to leverage on the emotions of the average Nigerian to rise to power.

Having said the above, if we actually want the β€œpoor man on the street” to feel the impacts of reforms like this, we need to re-introduce socialism, it could be for the next few years. Price control and setting of salary benchmarks will resolve most of the challenges we have today. A minimum wage of N200k and a maximum wage of N500k will significantly crash house rent and others plus the reorientation of our people to understand that money is not everything - a notion most people don’t agree with again today.

But it won’t happen because you and I would rather maximize profit at the expense of anything; show off wealth than see most things affordable for most people and so on.

Personally I feel that the poverty of the β€œcommon man” has more to do with the common man and his greedy Neighbour, you and I, than it is with the president.

Is it only road you saw in that list?

kinguwem:
No I pity gullible Nigerians. Was a President elected to build roads? What's the job of the engineers in the Ministry of Works? The job of a leader is a very serious one. Provision of security for the lives & property of Nigerians & foreigners living in Nigeria is a primary responsibility likewise ensuring quality healthcare services & education. Stabilization of the economy & control of inflation is another important role. Creation of job opportunities, attraction of direct foreign investments & industrialization are the things we expect from a President who's serious.

Your post is so SE focused so I am wondering if you wanted to respond to my post or to someone else because I cannot find a correlation between your post and what you quoted as I was not focused on any region.

Oyindamolah:
People keep saying β€œTinubu has done nothing in the South-East,” but facts tell a different story.

I believe criticism should be based on evidence, not emotions or propaganda. Governance must be assessed by visible projects, policy impact, and long-term national developmentβ€”not just social media noise.

Nobody is saying nothing has been done in the South East, but let’s be honest and separate newly initiated projects from projects inherited, rebranded, or still incomplete.

Most of the roads being mentioned like the Enugu–Onitsha Road, Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway, 2nd Niger Bridge access roads, Aba–Owerri Road, and Lokpanta axis were not freshly conceived by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Many of them started under previous administrations, especially under Muhammadu Buhari, with some dating even further back. Continuing a project is governance, yesβ€”but it should not be packaged as if it was born in 2023.

Take the Port Harcourt–Aba Railway for exampleβ€”it was largely completed and commissioned before this administration. Claiming it fully as a new Tinubu achievement is simply inaccurate.

NELFUND is a national education financing policy, not a South East infrastructure project. Same with pensioners’ medical support and technical college incentivesβ€”they are federal social interventions, not evidence of regional infrastructure transformation.

The Oncology Centre at UNTH is commendable, but one medical facility cannot be used to answer deeper concerns people have about insecurity, unemployment, industrial decline, poor power supply, and the economic hardship currently affecting the region.

People are not asking for propaganda; they are asking for visible, measurable improvement in daily life. Can traders move goods cheaper? Has electricity improved for businesses? Are youths getting sustainable jobs? Has insecurity reduced enough for farmers to return fully to their farms?

That is the real test of governanceβ€”not just lists on social media.

Giving credit where it is due is fair, but exaggerating inherited projects and calling them fresh miracles weakens the argument. Nigerians want results they can feel, not just project lists they can forward on WhatsApp..

All these things that you mentioned above, how does that reflects to the lives of an average Nigerian?

You should know this by your self, that the most important thing that a country need is Security of lives and property and energy.

If Tinubu could achieve these two things, his name will be writing in gold and will be praised by every Nigerian.

Know that all these things you listed above are very good and commendable, but the 3 basic need of an average Nigerian has not been meet, and that is food, clothing, and shelter.

Thank you.
