grin no body is holding you from going………blame Azikiwe for shortsightedness for not including secession clause in the constitution when awolowo and Ahmadu bello called for the inclusion but rather made it a treasonable offence……..the only way out now is to lobby your reps in the NA to sponsor a bill for referendum and move back to your region while you at it, so the rest of us can take you seriously…….enough with the cries already undecided
You mean that 3 groups came together to make a decision on a key issue. 2 groups say it was okay, and only one says it's not okay. Everyone accepted the decision of the ONE group as against the position of the other two? Make una dey use common sense sometimes na.

So the second Niger bridge was built in hell n not in your so-called other south ba ?!

AMINDA:
Lagos again. Nothing for the other South? This "turn of the South" is looking skewed o. Anyways, the other part of the South claims they are not desperate for the presidency and are succeeding without being president but their unborn children will not be exempted from paying these loans for projects that are sited in Lagos.

But indid not hear your noise about when they borrow to build second niger bridge.
sagitariusbaby:
Tinubu is borrowing money from around the world in the name of Nigeria only to pour it in Lagos alone while the rest of us lay for it then tomorrow the agbero urchins in Lagos will say Lagos is exclusively theirs.
Re: FG Approves ₦548.98 Billion To Demolish, Rebuild Carter Bridge In Lagos by SuperEagles: 7:36am On May 01
Bow much internal revenue does lagos generate to sustain your wretched state yearly ? Ensure to have that on record as well.

eldoradoxx:
I hope that Lagos belongs to their great grand ancestors who built everything in Lagos without Federal Government support will understand that it is the money that belongs to all Nigerians that Federal Government has been pouring into construction and reconstruction in Lagos State. So far under Tinubu alone, infrastructure in Lagos alone has consumed multiple trillions of Naira with most of the loans you are hearing about obtained on behalf of all Nigerians to fund infrastructure in Lagos, whether it is road, airport, rail etc We have absolutely no problem with that. Let's just keep it on record, in case of tomorrow, they will claim it is their sweat alone that built Lagos, other Nigerians do not deserve to be in Lagos. Myself I do not live in Lagos and do not ever intend to live in Lagos.

grin Lagos generate the highest non oil revenue eg Vat, and other revenue for the FG…….can you tell us how much your state generates? When it suit you clowns, you are quick to tell us Lagos is no man’s land and belongs to everyone, but when it attract development, you suddenly remember it belongs to Yorubas and is in Yoruba land grin

What natural resources does Lagos have

Second Niger Bridge was started and completed by a Fulani man from Daura. What has the "turn of the South" president done for the other South outside of Lagos and his region?

Good move. We cannot do without massive infrastructure, a gateway to substantial development.

However, the contract sum of N548bln is huge. Compare this with the N750bln for the MMIA airport in Lagos and 2nd Niger bridge.

The highest non oil revenue to federal pulse is generated in Lagos State. So rest!
The highest oil revenue is gotten from other states but share across board with little percentage for the owners as bribe while non oil generated in Lagos due to skewed structures should be given to Lagos alone and rest should rest. You rest.

What does the South brings to the table to warrant such massive investment into their states? Lagos alone can pay up the loan in years to come without affecting the Economy of Lagos.

grin why are you clowns so slow? Just in a desperate attempt to absolve Azikwe of the blame and always blame everyone else for your woes while it was clearly stated in my post how Azikiwe championed the exclusion of secession and further made it a treasonable offence which was backed by the colonial masters undecided there was little Awolowo and ahmadu bello could do in that instance since we were still indirectly under their control……was that to hard to comprehend? undecided

Not an engineer ...but let's reason this one. Carter Bridge was built in 1901. Brooklyn Bridge was built in 1883. Both sit in salt water Why is the Brooklyn Bridge still in operation... no thoughts of being demolished?...maintenance. Both bridges were built when hired drawn carriages were the vehicles of the day. They were not built for heavy duty vehicles . I disagree with the demolition of the bridge. Why can't they simply build a new bridge at another location then have the Carter bridge closed and rehabilitated? The piles can be repaired ...replaced or whatever. When reopened...like the Brooklyn Bridge ...the bridge should be restricted to light traffic ...cars only ...no commercial vehicles . The new bridge can be built somewhere else..... which would reduce congestion a lot more...it will take maybe a year or two. If the bridge is demolished .... there will be one or two years of commuting disaster.
Government dey talk say, every international and local contractor who took a look at the bridge said it can't be repaired

But you sit down in the comfort of your house, and telling the government it shouldn't be destroyed

[From your tribalistic comment people would think there are no plenty people from South East and South South living and making a living in Lagos that will benefit from the bridge. Most of you, especially Igbos have a serious problem with tribalism and hatred for the SouthWest. But you people wont stop trooping to Yorubaland to live and trade. This is why no region in Nigeria trust you people enough to hand over the presidency to you. You people can be so ungrateful and hateful.]

The joke is on the poster above me. Accusing others of hatred while they openly perpetrate it against others. Okay, Southeasterners should all relocate to Lagos in order to use the infrastructure that are being built with our collective patrimony. This was the list of projects approved by the FEC yesterday. Does this list look fair to you?

What Lagos generates to the federal pulse is also shared to every state. Lagos doesn't get 13 derivation funds like the niger Delta states. So I say again REST!

I gree with una on this one.

Since the bridge has deteriorated beyond repair, constructing another one should be a welcome idea. No be till the thin break into two k!LL people.
It's good for a new one to be constructed but not at hyperinflated sums.
Tinubu and Umahi are cashing out of these bogus contract sums.

Does it occur to you that Yorubas will also populate the Southeast today if those number of infrastructure were sited in the East over the years? Why then do you ask them to "go back to their region" every electoral cycle?

No be Tinubu again.
Apart from MMIA rehabilitation,Lagos-Calabar road and this project.

MENTION ONE PROJECT CARRIED OUT BY FG ON LAGOS SOIL SINCE 1993(30YEARS AGO).

FG left Lagos to rot!...Thank God for Tinubu and his boys

By the way, when the bridge is done.Tell your family members residing in Lagos not to use the bridge because its for Yorubas.

You guys will claim you dominate Lagos population, but when a project that will benefit you people is being done in the same Lagos, yoj will be angry!

This goes beyond Atiku or Obi. Tinubu should make his presidency truly about the "South." Buhari did the same across the entire North. There was no segregation. He even delivered the monumental Second Bridge to the East.
